I stumbled upon this thread while at the office this morning, and I have to say, Anthony Smith3, it’s a brilliant concept.

It actually motivated me to go through the hassle of registering a new account—since I managed to forget my old password, of course—so let the games begin. 🙂

Starting off easy...

QUESTION NO. 1.

How many differences can you spot in the image below? Whatever you do, do NOT mark them, describe them, or mention what they are! Just find them, add them up, and shoot me a PM with the total number. If you find all of them, you win 3 points. Find half, and you get 1.5 points. Anything less than half results in -1 point. I'll post the correct answer on Friday, Oct 29th. NOTE 1 - Send your answers via PM only. NOTE 2 - The deadline to submit is midnight on Thursday, Oct 28th.

I'm not following this "half the differences" thing... say there are 20 of them. If I find 13, I get half a point, but if I find 21, I lose a point?

Look... if there are 20 total and you snag all 20, you get 3 points. If you find somewhere between 10 and 19, you get half a point.
If you find fewer than 10... you lose a point.
I added this rule because it felt wrong to penalize people for missing just one item when they basically nailed 99% of the list.

Now, the rules are slightly different this time around, so read them carefully so we don't have any headaches later...

RULES

1. - It’s a mix of stuff: guessing movies from images, puzzles, word associations, finding differences, and things like that.

2. - I’ll drop up to three tasks every few hours. There’s no hard deadline for individual tasks, so you can answer anything at any time while the game is live (from 10/25 to 10/28).

3. - Send your answers strictly via PM to me. Just post a quick note in this thread to confirm you sent it (e.g., "sent my answer for question (insert number here)")

4. - Once the game wraps up, I’ll post everyone's scores, the correct answers, and the final standings. Expect that on Friday, 10/29, or by Tuesday, 11/02, at the latest, along with the winner's announcement.

5. - It is strictly FORBIDDEN to discuss potential answers here in the thread while the game is active. If you do, I will dock your points.

6. - Each correct answer gets you 3 POINTS, and each wrong one costs you 1 point. This applies even at the start when everyone is at zero—if you mess up early, you'll go into the negatives. Extra bonus points will depend on specific questions.

7. - Once the clock hits midnight on Thursday, the window closes. I'll tally the scores and announce the winners then. If there’s a tie, I’ll come up with some kind of tiebreaker... but we'll cross that bridge if we get there.

I was actually hoping someone would bring this up. Personally, I've messed up that one last detail a few times before, and honestly, it made me want to just stop looking altogether. This is a solid update 👍
