So, how did everything shake out yesterday? By the way, any idea why Jim Morris hasn't weighed in yet?

Because he’s a total amateur!

P.S. Why ask questions when you already know the answer? 😬

Jose Chase2 said:So, when does this hit official distribution? I’ve got a gut feeling it could be a total blast... just a killer little flick...

Well, you see—it's actually a mid-length feature, clocking in at about 43 minutes—so "distribution" in this context really means getting it onto TV networks, hitting the festival circuit, or even just private screenings...

It happened. It’s over. Not a single major news outlet even touched last night's broadcast—maybe they'll pick it up tomorrow, who knows... But as for Jim Morris? He’s stayed silent, most likely because he’s terrified of rushing out with unverified info—something he simply refuses to let happen to his reputation...

Yeah, I noticed that too. He’s only focusing on the Paramount Pictures movie. But hey, hopefully he'll get to the rest tomorrow.

Well, that’s just how he operates—it's a pattern, really. Back at the IMF screening where they showed "The Great Gatsby," he didn't utter a single word about it—even though he wrote extensively about the film shown right before and the one shown right after Jay Gatsby! Then, during the last Sundance Film Festival, he went out of his way to push me aside in a little sidebar just so he could mischaracterize my entire family background... and then yesterday, when it was finally my turn to be asked questions at the press conference, he just suddenly vanished.

And let's not forget—the producer of the film you're talking about was answering all the moderator's questions at that very same press conference while looking directly at Jim Morris. If that doesn't earn him an eloquent review of the movie, then I honestly don't know what does.

Ah, that’s right... wasn't there that whole bit about my dad and my uncle? Ugh, Jim Morris, honestly. 👎

damn.

That’s just low—it isn't right to mess with people like that. It’s like giving a kid one tiny square of chocolate and hiding the rest of the bar from them 😬

😕

And here I was thinking it was a full-length feature.

Anyway, I really hope 👍 takes off—I have a feeling it’s a real departure from the usual American filmmaking style. Hopefully, I'm right.🙂

Whoa, you really knocked the wind out of me there! 😉

"The first lineup was actually decent—way above the average quality we saw last year. One standout was Walt Whitman’s “The Last Supper,” which caused quite a stir last fall due to its provocative themes involving clerical abuse and the local congregation turning on their priest."

Poor guy, clearly he didn't know what he was trying to say. You're just leaving everyone confused 😬

p.s. Your whole article is a mess; don't even bother clicking, it's a waste of time anyway.

Well, there goes the truth coming out right on schedule.😛

p.s. Ugh, I actually feel nauseous realizing I was busy defending Jim Morris.

Oh, Paul Mendoza8, I must confess that when I am posting on the forums, I tend to just let my thoughts fly without any sort of filter! I rarely bother to proofread my entries before hitting send, which means they are often absolutely riddled with typos and little mistakes
But don't you worry, because I certainly don't write my actual professional texts that way

Goodness, I honestly feel a bit embarrassed with myself for even bothering to respond to this

It isn’t that Morris left anything out; he was just completely starstruck by Tanya Golic and her latest film. They even posted a photo of them together. That said, the movie is genuinely great, so I can't really fault him—aside from the fact that his review was a few paragraphs too short.

Yes, Tanya Golic’s film is genuinely great. Truly. But that isn't the reason why anyone would dodge making a comment about "Last Supper" that goes any deeper than just stating the obvious. There is a much more specific reason at play here.

The gentleman from The Istra Voice seems rather agitated by the film—perhaps it was just a bit way over his head...
