1. Die Hard 2
2. Tempt Me, Break Me
3. Dragon Kiss
4. Monty Python and the Meaning of Life
5. Hard Target

The last James Bond I’ll be adding to my VHS collection (no judging, please). This one starring George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones doesn't sound particularly appealing, even if it was directed by the Coen brothers (I mean, Bloody simple and Fargo... I still need The Big Lebowski). I'm debating whether to even bother watching it. Dragon Kiss is another one headed for my VHS shelf; I've always been a fan of Jet Li alongside Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. As for the rest, I've already seen them: The Meaning of Life is enough for a first viewing (I have to admit, it's the worst Python ever—boring and not funny at all), and Hard Target is decent in parts, but mostly just bad. That scene where he shoots the villain and then kicks him down is incredibly irritating. Are any of you planning on watching these over New Year's Eve?

Probably not! I'll likely just grab something new on DVD to watch (though I’ve still got a massive pile of movies on DivX and DVDs I haven't even touched yet, so I won't be bored...) ... it all really depends on whether I'm hanging out at home or hitting up some festival 😉

The last James Bond I’ll ever add to my old-school VHS collection—and please, no mocking, I mean it! This one starring George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones doesn't really sound like my cup of tea, even if it was directed by the Coen brothers (I mean, come on, give me Bloody Simple or Fargo, or even The Big Lebowski instead!). I'm honestly still on the fence about whether I'll even hit play. Now, Dragon Kiss is definitely going into my VHS stash though—I am totally obsessed with Jet Li, especially alongside legends like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. As for the rest? Seen 'em all. Life's Meaning is plenty enough for a first watch (full disclosure: it's the worst Python flick I've ever sat through, just super dull and not funny at all), and Hard Target is... well, it's okay in parts, but mostly just a bad movie. That part where he shoots the bad guy and then kicks him down is just incredibly annoying, you know? So, what about you guys—any of these on your New Year's Eve watchlist?

Man, forget all that! Seriously, if you can, just step out for a bit, grab a drink, and clear your head. Just take a break from the movies for a second!😁
And regarding this year's New Year's lineup? Honestly, I've seen way better stuff.
I just checked and saw that FOX is airing Wiper and Revenge (with Schwarzenegger) tonight!🙄

That’s it right there!

There’s always one loser every year. This year, I guess it's my turn.

Just skip it. I expected a lot more given all those commercials on TV, but the movie is 👎

Since I’m staying put at home with my partner this year, we have amassed quite an extensive collection of films to work our way through 😁

- The Chronicles of Narnia
- Nightmare Before Christmas 😍 (even if New Year's Eve 😬 has already passed
) - It's a Wonderful Life
- The Tale of Two Sisters
- Shutter
- Infection

And perhaps, if time permits, we might finally tackle Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or Lost in Translation.. 😳

The Chronicles of Narnia? Are you talking about the ones hitting theaters this month? (If so, how on earth did you manage to snag tickets that fast?!)
Lost in Translation is such a killer pick... that scene where he grabs her toe is absolutely unforgettable...

Up until a few years ago, my friend and I would spend every single New Year's Eve waiting around with a huge stack of movies—we never, and I mean NEVER, made it through the night without watching Raw Passion (and then we’d spend hours debating all the possible "what if" scenarios for the killers, because the actual ending always felt way too easy for us...). Plus, we’d throw in a couple of X-Files marathons, but that’s probably a bit too intense for most people...
Happy New Year!

A-ha,😁 P2P,😉

I actually considered heading to the theater to see it, but frankly, I just can't be bothered.😳 I am simply being lazy, image

I suppose I’d suggest watching FOX's evening lineup, specifically those two Schwarzenegger flicks: Wiper and Revenge. 👍

Yeah, was that supposed to be the East Coast, or just some final destination? I think I saw something about it on the news ticker... anyway... the movie selection on TV this year has been pretty disastrous. I guess ABC made a decent attempt at offering some variety, even if it wasn't exactly perfect, but NBC and FOX have been absolute train wrecks. 😢
So, I ended up heading down to the video rental store... *The Butterfly Effect* and *House of Sand and Fog* were both worth a watch. And honestly, I went ahead and watched *Fool's Gold*, too, though I really had zero expectations—I figured it would be an utter disaster. It turned out to be somewhat okay, I suppose. 🙂 As for the rest of my day, I still have *The Cat in the Hat* left to get through. Well, Happy New Year's Eve. 🙂

Oh, and we'd throw in a few episodes of the X-Files too, but that's just for the true creeps out there...
Happy New Year!

Honestly, it totally blows my mind how two friends can be on such the exact same wavelength like that. You guys are definitely soulmates. When I go out with my crew, there is absolutely zero chance we're all going to agree on watching some movie we've already seen five hundred times or an episode of the X-Files. Don't get me wrong, I actually liked that show, but if I had to stay in on New Year's Eve and actually find someone who *wanted* to watch it with me? That would be a total jackpot. It's honestly fascinating how you two just clicked—it's gotta be fate, hehehehe

The Chronicles of Narnia is easily the best thing we've seen in the last decade.
And we might just get an equally great movie with Eragon as the big surprise coming this December. There’s been so much mystery surrounding it, but they finally teased it on the official site. I actually read the book myself...
Mission: Impossible
The Da Vinci Code
Pirates of the Caribbean 2
Next year we have a new Harry Potter installment, followed by Narnia (2008), and then the His Dark Materials trilogy—a project Hollywood has been struggling to bring to the big screen for about six years now. It's such a complex story, but having read it, I can tell you it's my absolute favorite....

What exactly are you on, considering you managed to mess up the topic title too... 😁

Who's out here trying to pick a fight with me? I haven't said anything offensive to anyone. To me, Narnia (2008) was easily one of the best movies of the year, and I wasn't trying to derail anything—I was just sharing some movie recommendations I think people might enjoy.

The preacher... Ethan Perez97 said:The Chronicles of Narnia is easily the best movie of the year, and I wasn't trying to hijack the thread, I was just suggesting some new films to watch...

You just claimed it was the best movie of the decade, so pick a lane, man... next thing you know, you'll be calling it the best movie of the month, which I find equally hard to believe. But seriously, have you actually been to see Million Dollar Man lately?...
