Hey there.
Like I mentioned before... I’ve currently got a splinter lodged right near my neck by my ear.

I went to the ER and they put me on some antibiotics just to get the inflammation under control—once things settle down, they're going to go in and get it out.

If anyone here has dealt with something similar, please reach out... I'm hoping to hear from you by Wednesday... when I head in for the procedure.
I just really want to know what I'm walking into.
Thanks.

I honestly have no clue how that could have even ended up there. 😕

I fail to see how that could possibly land. 😕

with a wooden mustache, bought at Target.

Khm, this is starting to feel exactly like that old fable about the boy who cried wolf.
But fine—whatever, I guess I deserve this one.

Fine. If you say so.
😬

)

It will likely just be local anesthesia and then you can head home...
You'll probably need to stop by for a bandage change once or twice.

And honestly, after that whole drama over on Zuckerberg & Co, I wouldn't take their word for anything anyway. Don't let it get to you. You really shouldn't...😁

Just get yourself a dog 😬

I'm not exactly in any physical danger, I guess.
But man, it hurts.

You’ll need to swing by for a dressing change once or twice.

And honestly, after that whole meltdown over Zuckerberg & Co—where you insisted I had no idea what was going on—I wouldn't take your word for anything either. So just relax. You really should.😁

I’ve personally dealt with enough nerve-related nonsense in my own spine to know...😬
But I'm telling you, I'm convinced it's just a minor outpatient incision.

In any case: consider this a public service announcement to stay far away from those wooden earrings they sell at that little hippie boutique in Greenwich Village.

A buddy of mine once had a similar procedure on his neck, and the surgeon sneezed mid-cut and sliced his aorta right open.

👍 Don't sweat it, it's just a little outpatient incision. 👍

BTW, that thing on your neck looks absolutely revolting, especially with all that pus surrounding it. The whole mess looks like a volcano about to blow... just colors of yellow, red, white, and brown everywhere... 🤮

Christian Sanchez44, maybe grab a photo of that tree before they pull it out—it’d be cool to see some before & after shots later on 👍

I guess that's just how it goes when you're into big, chunky... statement jewelry!
Whatever. Wood is natural... even Ayurveda uses tree bark for healing.

And right after the dog, I should probably get a boyfriend. Since you’re clearly the expert on having a sense of humor, maybe you can lend me some. Then I might actually be able to post something worth reading on this forum.😉 👍
