screw all those days 😁 For me, Good Good day is one of his absolute dumbest tracks, and Darker with The day is just an ugly little sister to a few von Trappov songs from that same record—not to mention the masterpiece by Boatman'a..
as for Plain Gold ring, it isn't even really his style, so it doesn't count🙂

The genius of Alice isn't in some "showy" performance or lyrical "depth," but precisely in its simplicity and that perfect synergy of tempo, (lack of) dynamics, and the way his voice hits. It creates such a kinky atmosphere that you end up feeling this weird mix of excitement and shame, like you're actually part of that voyeuristic, creepy confession.

The lyrics are basically perfect, and honestly, the delivery? It's incredible. The way that chorus is recited... I guess they should just give him an Oscar for the most convincing performance of fake vulnerability ever.

Plus, that track feels like the perfect ending to the whole album—like one final walk after all those other walks Nick takes through... well, wherever he ends up.

Maybe they should make it a legal requirement to play this song at funerals. Like, alongside all those standard permits you have to file for a burial (I assume there are specific ones, I don't know, 😁 😁), people should be legally obligated to have this song played. 😛
