George Clooney is the top contender for James Bond

They’ve narrowed the field down to four guys for the role of 007, and George Clooney is actually one of them. I haven't heard much about the other three, but I do know Clooney is currently sitting at the top of the polls on one of the biggest James Bond fan sites out there. Check out the link here: News

Hmm... I don’t mean to be cynical or anything, but I can't help wondering how he’s actually going to nail an American accent.
Even though his accent definitely leveled up during all those years spent filming ER, what comes out of his mouth still isn't quite flawless.

Maybe they'll just have him dubbed in post. 😁

In my opinion, Sean Connery is actually a pretty mediocre actor. He definitely gets all that attention from women because of his voice, but if you look at his actual work, he basically plays the exact same character every single time. It’s always the same emotions, the same vibe—every role feels like a carbon copy of the last one. To me, that just doesn't make someone a real actor.
A true actor needs to be able to pull at your heartstrings, make you laugh, get your blood pumping, or absolutely terrify you...

The only time Clooney was actually decent was that silent meat role in Madonna's music video. Aside from that, he’s got nothing. He can't act, he doesn't know how... who even cares?

But this is just straight-up awful, especially if Broccoli's production pushed it this far. His old man would be losing it seeing what happened to his profitable business ventures.😛

Clooney is best in those Sedlar and Vrdoljak films—
that's where he actually shines.🙂 🙂

The reason it hurts is because you lack any sense of patriotism or national pride. That’s exactly why we Americans struggle to get anything done.

If you ask me, he’d be a terrible choice. 007 needs to be this quintessential British guy with absolutely flawless diction. To my eyes, Clooney has a look that feels a bit too... well, let's just say not quite from around here. Plus, there's that slight accent he carries, which might end up looking pretty ridiculous on a face meant for someone like James Bond...
