I personally stick with DVD Shrink and Nero.

Whenever the picture or audio stutters during playback, is the issue the player, the disc itself, the burner, or just the software used to burn it? Any recommendations?

1. A Pioneer drive.

2. Honestly, it could be any of those things. I need more specifics to give you a real answer. For example, does it skip on every single disc? How does it handle DivX format? Is it using Dma moda?

First, it just freezes up for a second, then skips right ahead. And if you're using ripped DVDs, you're definitely losing the end of the movie every time.

I'm running a Smart Vision player.
It doesn't even support DivX format.

Hmm... how are you burning your DVDs? In 😬 Nero, just select
UDF/ISO mode.
