The Incredibles

So, I finally sat down and watched that animated movie today.

One word comes to mind: FANTASTIC!

The Incredibles is actually a fantastic film that provides some truly top-tier entertainment.
I must say, looking back at my recent viewing habits, I’m almost stunned by how many high-quality animated features I've managed to get through lately.

I watched an animated film the other day, but I didn't particularly enjoy it; I find Shrek to be much, much better. 🙂

I caught this on DVD yesterday, and honestly, it’s such a blast 🙂

The story holds up, the humor lands, and the characters are genuinely great. The animation is fantastic too—it has that classic, golden-era cartoon feel. They aren't trying too hard to force some gritty realism on you, even though it's technically set in a "real" world 🙂

I kept switching the audio between the original track and our local dub... I don't know, it wasn't half bad 🤔. There are some hilarious bits (WHERE IS MY ODIE??!?!? 😁) and the voice actors did a decent enough job, even if they didn't quite hit the mark compared to the American cast. It feels like a technical issue, really; the voices sound thin and dry, almost like they have this weird echo—probably just a subpar recording studio 😢

The bonus feature about the baby and the babysitter on the second disc is absolutely brilliant 😂

"Hey honey, what are you up to?"
"Just painting my nails, babe!"

Man, talk about rule-breaking. Watching little Z tear through the house like a maniac is pure chaos—what a character!
For me, the absolute highlight of the animation is how they handled the characters; specifically, the way the Parr family is portrayed with such genuine warmth and humanity.🙂

It does feel like they scavenged quite a few scenes from other movies, though. It doesn't really matter, though; the movie is still a great way to kill a lazy afternoon.

It’s not bad, but it doesn't really blow me away. I watched the DVD with the American audio and American subtitles, and the sync was totally off.

Pretty cool cartoon. I dig it. Honestly surprised it wasn't some loud, exhausting mess—it's actually easy to watch and leaves you feeling good, which isn't typical for stuff like this. Anyway, I'd say grab it on DVD if you can.

I knocked this one back while sipping on half a bottle of Chianti—and honestly, the movie was killer. (Chianti hits different...) 🙂

I'll admit, I was pretty skeptical at first—especially after listening to some of the garbage we've been getting lately—but they really nailed the work on The Incredibles.

It’s not quite as good as the original version, obviously, but they definitely have 👍

That’s an interesting bit of self-reflection right there. I’m not entirely sure why that specific comment was quoted, though—I suppose it was just for the visual layout.

My two-year-old son is absolutely obsessed with The Incredibles. We actually have the dubbed version, which I honestly think is great, even though I usually can't stand dubbing. The first thing he does when he wakes up in the morning is yell, "Mom! Where's my awesome superhero suit?!" 😁

I think it’s brilliant. It’s definitely more of an adult animation, though. I guess kids might find it a bit too intense or something.

I watched the original version once, and honestly, Hunter S. Thompson’s voice acting was just incredible as Mrs. Incredible.
