I started catching Season 1 reruns on AMC around April or May, which timed out perfectly with the Season 2 marathons on PBS. Once those ended, I grabbed the third season from a DVD club and binged the whole thing in three days. Long Story Short, I'm hooked on Alias and just waiting for Season 4 to drop on DVD this October.

Season 2 is easily the best, mostly because of Lena Olin.

So you're saying Meryl Streep isn't coming back for season 3? 😲

Still looking forward to the third season, though. 🙂

Anyone know when the next installment drops? Is it coming this fall, or are they going to keep us hanging even longer?

So, I checked out the first ten episodes, but then they messed with the release schedule and I just lost interest. I eventually gave it another shot starting mid-way through season two, and so on... blah blah blah.
I’m actually obsessed with this show, so I'm trying to track down physical copies of seasons one and two if anyone can help me out. If you have them sitting around or know someone who does, hit me up. I'm more than happy to pay cash or work out a deal to take them off your hands.
Seriously though, this series is absolute fire!!!

Of course it's similar! For those who don't know, Nikita came out first and was actually the first show to feature a female lead who truly kicks ass. 🙂 In Alias, they basically just ripped her off at this point—it's unbelievable!! 😠 So please, don't give me that "Nikita wasn't that good" crap; she paved the way, and 🙂 just because Alias is packed with big-name stars and aggressive marketing doesn't mean it's actually better!!
Every time I watched Nikita, I'd end up stunned—they just knew how to craft an episode so well that I had to sit there and process who actually said what and did what. And don't even get me started on the music... 🙏

I could go on and on, but I won't—this is supposed to be a thread about the "revered" Alias. I'm just getting sick of the whole "oh, it's like Nikita, but Nikita was this and that" routine.

That's my two cents. LFN RULZ!!

Big ambitions for such small series.

Does anyone remember which month they dropped Season 2 last year? Maybe we'll get lucky and see this one around the same time... 🙂

The core concept in Nikita isn't exactly groundbreaking. It’s all about the execution, and honestly, alias did it much better.

The season premiere was actually pretty engaging. I’ve been a fan of Alias since the end of last season. Honestly, though, I doubt I'll stick with this show for long given how terrible the broadcast schedule is.
