How do I clear my page view history?

I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get rid of that bolded number up there, specifically those 115 views? It’s kind of like when you clear your history and open Google and the counter vanishes, but then the second time you come back, it just pops right back up and keeps ticking away from where it left off—so next time it’ll be 116.

You can't delete that yourself. Only an admin can handle it, at least based on my experience running my own forum back in the day.

I honestly don't see how that has anything to do with the Reddit admins. It’s going to be pretty obvious once you check the numbers on Google. Plus, we aren't just talking about hits on the forums themselves, but traffic across all sorts of other sites too.

Go ahead and send over a screenshot of that...

Man, if I actually knew how to take a screenshot, I probably would've just sent it over already. 🙂

Same here. I've literally tried everything under the sun and nothing works... if anyone actually knows the trick, please help a girl out!

I’m dealing with this exact same thing myself, has anyone actually found a fix yet?

That counter is hitting their server, not your device. If you’re logged into an account, the server tracks everything—how many times you clicked, how long you lingered, where you scrolled... it's all there. It just depends on which specific metrics they choose to display. Basically, as a user, there isn't much you can do about it legally 😁

Plus, Google keeps its own cache to speed up searches and stuff. They also use various ways to monetize, which means those stats get shared with third parties. Not really in your control. Big Brother sees everything...
