Best cover albums of all time?

Which album covers have really stuck with you guys?

I’m a huge fan of this one by Pavement — Trees, Rivers!
And also The Mars Volta — De-Loused in the Comatorium...

But man, that legendary one from Pink Floyd — The Wall is hard to beat! 😁

Man, I was just spinning some Uriah Heep—specifically "Look At Yourself"—and it hit me how much that track still slaps. Just one of those classic vibes that gets you right in the feels!

Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes
is a great cover because you can actually see certain songs reflected right in the artwork...
Iron Maiden has quite a few bloody covers... and then there's System of a Down - Steal This Album!... It's technically an original, but it looks like a total rip-off... basically because someone screwed them over and robbed them of that album, and by the time everyone actually got their hands on it, they had just lost their minds and put that out...

On Load, you've got blood mixed with sperm, and on Reload, it's blood, sperm, and urine.

hmmmm I am seriously losing my mind over this... easily the most unhinged, bottom-of-the-barrel cover ever made - Dubstar: Disgraceful.

I really dig this latest one from Pips, I think Yaya put it together... personally, I love covers like this, if it weren't for the singer's photo being right there...

And honestly, I was just as fascinated by that one from White Stripes with the buttons...

But who knows, most of my collection is just heavy stuff, so I don't really pay much attention to how different covers look.

Tool's Lateralus—once you peel off that black sleeve and check out the translucent layer underneath (if you actually pay attention, those letters spell out GOD on the back page)...

And Tool's Ænima, but not the one sold here—I mean the US version with that holographic plastic finish🙂

Also, that special edition CD from Flare with the little cuddly cover was just so cute🙂

Then there's Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen; that cover always stuck with me as being way cool. Plus, Love's Forever Changes cover... and Frank Zappa's Hot Rats (killer photo), and Warhol's "Banana" on the Velvet Underground & Nico... honestly, there are way too many that I dig. I'll have to give it more thought...😁
