Droge223 said:I need help ASAP! Is there any dentist out there who will just fix or cap a tooth without making a huge deal out of it or asking a million questions? Does that even exist?? I’m honestly feeling pretty desperate! 😢

😍 Don't be so cynical! I know a fantastic dentist over in the suburbs near downtown Chicago—his name is Janko Naka. He did work for my husband that was better than anything any other dentist could have pulled off. He fixed all his teeth perfectly, and we haven't had a single complaint since. He even saved a canine tooth that was completely blackened, and he managed to fix everything while pulling the absolute bare minimum of teeth. Most of those generic clinics just want to get rid of you as fast as possible and pull as many teeth as they can to bill more; if you end up at one of those places, honestly, just run! Janko runs a private practice that’s super modern, too. They’ve got all the latest high-tech gear—digital X-rays and everything right on-site. Plus, his prices aren't even that steep, especially for things like deep cleanings or basic repairs. $60I really hope I was able to help you out a little bit—he’ll definitely be able to save that tooth! Plus, since his parents are dental technicians, that crown won't look out of place at all. It'll be seamless! Best of luck!😍

So, about four weeks ago I got into a car accident and broke the middle finger on my right hand. I had it patched up at the ER, but even after a month, I still can't straighten the finger. I went back for a follow-up at the hospital, and the doctor was being pretty vague—mentioning maybe physical therapy or some rare tendon issue, I guess. Since the ER is basically a conveyor belt where they rush you through in like three minutes per person, I really want a second opinion. Does anyone know a good private orthopedic specialist, ideally someone who focuses on hand injuries, in the greater Chicago area?

Thanks!

I don't know much about hand specialists, but when it comes to orthopedics, Dr. Miller is the go-to in the States. He helped me get back on my feet, and honestly... anyone I recommend him to ends up being just as happy!

You should definitely check out the Ligament Clinic—it’s located right by the Sports Center and they're basically specialists in everything, from initial diagnostics to physical therapy and rehab exercises. I guess you could see Dr. Puliz or Dr. Buchan there. Good luck!

I’ve been seeing him over at the local clinic near the old downtown area—he handles both insurance through Blue Cross and private patients, though I haven't really looked into his private rates. Honestly, since I started going to him, I haven't run into any major issues, so if anyone out there has had a rough experience, please feel free to weigh in. I truly hope he’s doing well professionally. As for me, one of my upper molars cracked ages ago, and I've had three different dentists try their hand at fixing it with white composite fillings. The first one actually held up for about three years, but then the material just started crumbling away. I can't recall the exact date of my last procedure with him, but the filling is still holding steady for now.
I’m planning to head into his office in the next few days, so I was thinking of asking his professional opinion regarding all those ancient fillings I've got sitting in my mouth.😬

If you need a dentist, I can't recommend Dr. Damir Martinko enough. He’s highly skilled, gets things done quickly, and won't break the bank.

And if the dentist's parents aren't dental techs, then you can definitely tell the color is off😁

Good grief, this post reads like a commercial for a local product🤣

Keep your fingers crossed for me. I’ve had two neurosurgeons, a neurologist, and a physiatrist all tell me straight up that physical therapy should be my first move. 🙂
But today at the ER, they pushed for immediate hospitalization instead. 👎 It left me completely stunned. I asked if there was any way to try PT first, and their response was essentially, "Fine, just come back to see us once things get worse."
I honestly don't know how I managed to walk out of there. Once I was home, I couldn't stop overthinking everything—wondering if I should have just agreed to surgery on the spot without a second thought, or if sticking to the plan of visiting some hot springs for rehab was actually the right call. 😕
Regardless, I’m heading out tomorrow to start physical therapy at a wellness resort. I'm just hoping that doctor's grim little prophecy doesn't turn out to be true and things take a turn for the worse.
Most people I talk to say you should exhaust every other option before agreeing to go under the knife.
I have no idea how this whole situation is going to play out, but thank you all for the advice. Hopefully, I'll be posting an update soon.

I'm bumping this because I'm dealing with the exact same headache. Has anyone actually gone to see Dr. Miller over at Mayo Clinic?

Who is this Anic guy mentioned in Bauer's report?
And regarding this Slide... isn't that just the Slide-Anic group?
Are we looking at two distinct Anics here?

By the way, it might make sense to merge this thread with that other one.

I know a doctor near Vraпac, Dr. Loncar-Rogoznica. She runs a private practice, but since she takes Blue Cross, I don't have to pay out of pocket...👍 ...and she's really great!!! 🙏

I was just wondering, does anyone know if ozone therapy actually works for dental treatments?

Is it strictly for those tiny little cavities, or can it handle the bigger stuff too? I'm also super curious about how the whole process plays out—like, do they still have to use a high-speed drill, or is it more low-key than that?

Has anyone here actually gone through it themselves?

LINK TO THE OZONE INFO (don't know the dentist personally, but hey, free advertising)
I haven't personally dealt with it.

I'd love to learn more myself—my dad is actually a private practice dentist, so I'll ask him about it.

If you guys have any other questions, fire away.
As for me, I work in porcelain dental lab tech.

It’s kind of funny when someone tries to lowball their way into an advertisement 😬
