Homeopathy uses highly diluted preparations (which might originate from a plant or something else), so there isn't actually any active ingredient left. The "active" part is just water that has "remembered" the substance that was once dissolved in it (we already covered the specifics over on Science, so I won't repeat myself).

What? Honestly, my deepest apologies for not keeping up with your incredibly vital discussions over on Science. I clearly missed out on all those groundbreaking conclusions you all reached...😁 Truly missed the boat on such important info...🙂 Water "remembering" atomic crystal lattices... right...😁 Good grief... homeopathic remedies work based on the actual plant matter within them. That’s basic stuff taught in med school... maybe not yours... but plenty of others... Ms. "We talked about this on Science"...

Homeopathy works even on people who don't even know they're taking it. If there's research backing it, how else do you explain that?

Look, I'll say it again: homeopathy doesn't need your belief to function.

I used to be a massive skeptic—typical of me with anything untested—but it helped me through some pretty serious stuff. My dermatologist tried to put me on a month-long course of antibiotics that would've wiped out my entire gut microbiome...🙄

Ignoring the alternatives is basically just being brainwashed by big pharma into thinking their tech is the only solution.🙄

At the end of the day, everyone makes their own choices. I'll take conventional medicine IF nothing else works, but I refuse to pop pills for every little ache and pain. I won't do that to myself.

Finally, someone speaking from experience rather than just prejudice. You guys are hard to find...😉

Maybe "too dim" is putting it harsh, but hey, ignorance is bliss, right?

Honestly, looking at this science thread, it feels like you aren't even reading for comprehension—you're just circling back to your own biases. But hey, you work in politics, so I guess that's just part of the job description.😁
Give it another read. Maybe this time it'll actually click.😉

You can easily test the effects of homeopathy on animals and plants, where it shows incredibly positive results. So, calling it a placebo is out of the question.🙂 There are times when even a placebo would be more effective than standard allopathic drugs or those "Big Pharma" giants.🤣

Could one of our local geniuses explain what’s actually funny about my post?

Or is it just that homeopathy, religion, and all that nonsense are somehow considered unscientific?

Yeah, right...😁 Good grief... saying homeopathy works based on the plant matter inside itself? That's actual medical school curriculum... maybe not at your school... but certainly at most others. And ma'am, "we talked about this on the science board"...

Luke is right.

Is it because homeopathy, God, and all that crap are considered "unscientific"???

Look, I’m no genius, but let me try to break this down for you: you can’t really have a meaningful debate when you're talking past someone in a different language. If you don't actually have experience with a topic and don't know the facts, there's nothing to talk about. This isn't some academic journal where people defend formal theses; this is a Health forum where people come to share their own personal experiences and advice. And from what I can tell, you don't have any actual experiences to share. It would be like trying to convince people who actually live in the USA that the whole country is just a massive conspiracy theory. 😁
Some people are laughing because they don't know how to politely say your opinion is totally baseless, and others are just trolling to boost their post count. Nothing personal. 😉
God is definitely above science, homeopathy is somewhere in the middle, but total nonsense is perfectly consistent with science. 😁

To me, homeopathy is magic, not science. So, laugh all you want. 😁

What an absolute load of nonsense! 😂

It’s funny how much it stings when the truth starts poking at your precious little convictions, isn't it?😛 😉

P.S. I'm just stirring the pot and looking for a reaction.😳 😁

shadowgardener12, I’m not quite following you 😕, what exactly do you mean by "solution"?

Maybe Alexander Parker69 could share some of his own experiences with homeopathy instead of tracking my every move and trying to trip me up 😛

Never tried it. Personally, my fertility hasn't been an issue. 🙂
But hey, homeopathy seems like a decent enough concept to me. 🙂

I just thought it would be decent to include something scientifically proven. But if that bothers you, feel free to stick to your voodoo approach.

slycrane94 said:I just felt like it was only fair to bring some actual scientific data to the table. But hey, if you guys prefer sticking to voodoo, be my guest.

Look, your intentions are totally fine 🙂, but we've already covered the science behind homeopathy over on ScienceHub, and honestly, the whole debate just turned into a bunch of people bickering. If anyone wants to dive into the data, the link is right there. People come to this Health forum specifically to share their personal experiences with homeopathy—that's really all there is to it. If someone's itching for a debate about proving or debunking evidence, they should probably head back over to the Science section.

First, do no harm. Most conventional drugs end up causing more side effects than they're worth and rarely live up to the hype. On the flip side, homeopathy isn't going to hurt anyone. Sure, the process can take longer, finding the exact right remedy is a bit of a puzzle, and it’s not a silver bullet for everything, but it works. We shouldn't just toss out a valid way of healing because it doesn't fit a certain mold.

Good grief, you’ve gone completely feral on us... What on earth happened to you? This certainly wasn't the usual fluff you peddle 😲 It actually had some substance to it—it was gritty, it was real—so, what gives? Are you feeling alright? 😁 😛

Seriously though, pull yourself together. I don't know how much longer I can deal with this if you just decide to stop being anything other than a total lightweight around here. 😁

I have no idea what you guys were even talking about or what conclusions you supposedly reached...😁 I really missed out on all the big breakthroughs, apparently...🙂 So, she "memorized the crystal lattice of atoms," did she? Yeah, right...😁 Oh my God... homeopathic remedies work based on the plant matter inside them? That’s actually taught in medical school... maybe not yours... but definitely in plenty of others. And here we are, listening to "we discussed this in science"...

Look, Sorbonne University is top-tier, and in France, people actually buy homeopathic remedies at pharmacies, and they're even partially covered by insurance. However, they've cut back on those reimbursements this year because the lack of efficacy has been proven. That is the official stance of the healthcare system there.
As for the actual active ingredients and all that technical stuff, I’m pointing you back to that science discussion again. A lot of people over there—for example, smart folks like Smrkoci—actually cited research papers.
Did you even bother reading that thread? I highly doubt it.
