Sisters of Mercy

I noticed some posters scattered around the city lately, and it really got me wondering if anyone here might know a bit more about what they're all about?

They’re actually quite a cool band—pure goth rock. They originally formed out of the members of The Mission.

Roland just feels repulsive in this specific situation...--honestly, it's hard to see it any other way.

The Mission is garbage. Just total nonsense. The Sisters are alright, though most of their biggest hits are actually their worst tracks. I highly doubt they’ll ever play in NYC—someone's messing around with those posters... if they somehow actually show up, I might go. I know they have a show in Warsaw this April. Regardless, I'm big on the Sisters despite all their stupidity, especially everything that came out of The Mission.

I have this overwhelming urge to go...
Every single morning, I follow my routine—brushing my teeth, staring at my reflection, washing my face—and yet, somehow, I fail to notice the relentless march of aging. But when I finally witness what remains of the Sisters of Mercy😲... I suspect I will suffer a profound temporal shock... and perhaps then, I will truly grasp just how much I have aged and lost my edge... just as they certainly have too.👎

Exactly! It was actually the Sisters (I think I had them mixed up)! Not that I listen to much of their stuff anyway.

That’s a pretty old-school gothic group. I think they started back in the early 90s and put out quite a bit of music, but—if I remember correctly from visiting their site ages ago—they rarely release anything new. They mostly just drop stuff whenever they have some downtime, since they treat music more like a hobby rather than a way to make bank like Britney Spears😁.

By the way, the listening party wasn't bad at all (who's actually afraid of 16-year-olds anymore? 😁).

Of course, the highlight of the night was the relatively new d. A. F. maxi single "der sherif" (Ivan, you legend) and a total nostalgia trip with "def con one" from Pop Will Eat Itself. (Ivan, you absolute master!). Man, that track really got my blood pumping. 😁
