Honestly, though, this Daredevil thing is just a comic book adaptation, and frankly, that's enough for me to go on.😉

Well, look, if you’re a fan of Steven Spielberg, you’ll probably have a blast.

But if he isn't really your style? Honestly, you'll just be bored out of your mind. You'll find yourself rolling your eyes at every single overly sentimental scene—you know, the kind of stuff that's so cliché it's almost an insult to God—and you'll spend most of the runtime staring longingly at the exit sign, wondering what better movie is playing in the theater next door.

(Side note: Do I personally like Steven Spielberg? That’s a loaded question.)

I’m in. Plus one more detail: that scene where the big Black guy is smoking a cigar—that was probably the highlight for me, mostly because I just quit smoking those exact ones.

The movie actually feels eerily similar to the conflict between Iraq and the USA, much like current global tensions. It starts with the idea that when you can't find justice in a courtroom (think CNN), justice becomes blind (Daredevil). Even that scene at the end with the man on his knees is basically just the USA, yet Americans still feel pity. And Grkinja is basically France reaching out, while Corinne is actually bin Laden. Okay, I'm kidding.😁
The film isn't anything groundbreaking, and we all knew that going in. Now everything is about adapting series; we've got Hulk coming soon, then X-Men II, and there's plenty more where that came from. Personally, I think most of them flop, but I have to see Modesty Blaise (maybe Rip Kirby too) because I've been obsessed with her for years. Everything else is just noise.

Look, I get it. Ever since Ben Affleck started dating Jennifer Lopez, his lifestyle has gone through the roof... I mean, they picked up that $10 million mansion, he probably dropped $100,000 on some diamond necklace for her, maybe even an Aston Martin for $200,000... you know how it goes, just endless spending. And I suppose the guy is stuck, whether he likes it or not, taking roles in those mediocre big-budget blockbusters just to keep those millions rolling in... but that still doesn't mean I have to sit through them.
And I'm certainly not wasting my precious time or my own hard-earned money on them.
So yeah, this is definitely one of those movies that I am never, ever watching.

No way, man... definitely the Countach. I mean, there aren't even any new ones being made anymore. Sure, the Diablo is killer and the new Murciélago is great, but the Countach? That’s the only one that’s truly Outrageous.

Just got back from the theater. The visual effects were solid and I have to agree on the soundtrack; it’s perfectly fine if you just want to switch your brain off for a while.👍

That movie was honestly such a letdown... I was practically falling asleep halfway through. I guess it counts as a "film" if the lead actress dies, but then Daredevil shows up at the end to give some big moral lecture? Give me a break. To make matters worse, they titled it "devilish challenge" on the local cable channel. All in all—a total waste of time and money!

I honestly went in expecting something mediocre, but man, was I wrong... I haven't seen anything quite this incredibly naive since I was a kid watching Power Rangers on Saturday mornings!
The whole thing is so predictable that you can basically call every single scene before it happens; it’s just a collection of tropes we've all seen a million times before.
Here are a few of the more "interesting" choices the filmmakers made:

Apparently, giving Daredevil heightened senses—aside from his sight—somehow grants him the ability to leap ten feet in the air and twirl a stick around like he’s leading a high school marching band.

Then you have Print and Delete just standing there side-by-side.

And don't even get me started on the plot. It’s an absolute fever dream.🙄
It follows the most basic formula imaginable: drop in a good guy (Daredevil), pair him with a "witty" sidekick, add a love interest, a priest, a ruthless assassin, and a big bad villain. Toss in some vague connection between the girl and the boss, and you've got a movie. Calling this film "brainless" feels like an insult to brainlessness; even a single-celled organism would find this too mindless to process.

everything else was barely worth a cheap t-shirt... though watching that lady move and work it was definitely a highlight
those aggressive roses were really getting on my nerves
true, and as much as I love how good Colin looks, he was playing it a little too dramatic, just a tiny bit too much

Sure, but the comic was actually engaging—it had style and some actual substance. This? It’s just mindless. Look, the comic is super old school (honestly, I have no clue how many decades we're talking about—blame my lack of trivia knowledge 😁), so there was no way the movie could have reinvented the wheel. I’m only mentioning the age thing because it's not like this is some modern blockbuster churning out tired tropes; it's actually the source material that helped invent those exact clichés decades ago. Calling it "old" feels like a bit of an excuse, if you ask me 😁, but you get the gist of what I'm saying.

Besides, didn't I already mention in my first post that I'm just waiting for this to hit streaming? 😉

Oh, I totally forgot to mention this—don't even think about walking out of the theater when the fight scene kicks off. Stick it out until the very end. Seriously, there’s this one incredible scene right after the action dies down that you absolutely can't miss! 👍 😉 🙂
