Movies with great soundtracks

Yeah, I know all that... So what?
My absolute favorite soundtrack is The Last Mohican... it hits me right in the feels every single time. Then you've got Good Morning Vietnam, Fantasia, Gallipoli, and so much more...

As far as I'm concerned... Blade Runner, The Full Monty, Moulin Rouge, Romeo and Juliet, Diplomat.....

This list is such a weird mix... are we talking strictly about original scores here, or are basic pop songs on the table too?

I’ll throw in The Thin Red Line, mostly because those folk tracks are killer, plus that genius Hans Zimmer score... I can't recall the title, but it kicks in right when the troops start hitting the beach.

Anyway, Timothy Cox2, help me out—what's the exact name of that Jarre track at the start of Gallipoli, during that desert trek? Please... 😁

"Ocean's Eleven" by David Holmes and Curtis Mayfield's "Superfly."

I guess if you ask me, the soundtracks for Matrix and The Curse of the Jade Scorpio are probably the absolute best out there, mostly because I’ve always been a huge fan of music with a bit more of an edge to it, so those two definitely get my vote... they're definitely worth checking out at some point.

Yes, we are talking about Oxygen, likely part III, though I can't say for certain. On another note, I recently picked up a compilation featuring numbers IV-XIII released back in 1997. Actually, don't bother listening to that one! It’s just the first Oxygen track reworked into some techno version...🤮

I find myself most drawn to films featuring music by Vangelis—it provides such an incredible atmosphere.

That whole film was just on another level 🙂
And honestly? It took me a while to realize I was literally dancing to the sound of a train or some ticking clock early in the morning... just vibing to the rhythm of life... and man, that music is pure magic🙂

On another note, one soundtrack that really caught me off guard lately was definitely Requiem for a Dream...

Then there's Casino, The Thin Red Line, and Titanic... plenty of good ones to choose from.

Star Wars definitely has the best soundtrack, though I’ve got a huge soft spot for Pulp Fiction too!👍

I’ve been digging a bunch of others too... stuff like Snatch, Pulp Fiction, and even Tommy... 🙂

Think about Morricone’s work in those Spaghetti Westerns, then you’ve got Conan the Barbarian, the score for Conquest of Paradise, and even Blade Runner...
