Yogi Bear is hitting the big screen!

Can you believe it? That classic cartoon about those troublemaking bears from Jellystone Park is actually getting turned into a full-length feature film!

It’s going to be this wild mix of live-action and CGI animation, all directed by Eric Brevig, you know, the guy behind "journey to the center of the earth."

This lovable little bear first popped up in those Hanna-Barbera cartoons back in 1958. So, Yogi lives in Jellystone Park with his sidekick Boo-Boo, and the two of them are always getting into mischief that drives Ranger Smith absolutely crazy.

For the voices, we're getting Dan Aykroyd as Yogi, and get this—Justin Timberlake is doing the voice for Boo-Boo! Plus, Anna Faris (from "dark film" and "bunny in college") is joining the cast as a reporter heading to Jellystone to film a documentary about the bears.

Eric Brevig is at the helm as director, and the producing team includes Donald de Lin, Karen Rosenfelt and Tag Coddington as the producers, with Lee Berger, Jim Dyer, Andrew Hass and Jon Berg as the executive producers. Dan Aykroyd stars in the film as Yogi Bear. Principal photography began in November, 2009.

plot: Jellystone Park has been losing business, so greedy Mayor Brown decides to shut it down and sell the land. That means families will no longer be able to experience the natural beauty of the outdoors -- and, even worse, Yogi and Boo-Boo will be tossed out of the only home they've ever known. Faced with his biggest challenge ever, Yogi must prove that he really is "smarter than the average bear" as he and Boo-Boo join forces with their old nemesis Ranger Smith to find a way to save Jellystone Park from closing forever.

Man, I absolutely loved this cartoon when I was a little kid, so I'm seriously crossing my fingers that they don't totally screw it up and turn it into some crappy, low-effort movie.

Even now, Yogi Bear is such a hilarious character to me, which is why I’m really hoping this flick manages to be just as funny and genuinely entertaining as the original Yogi cartoon shows.

It’s honestly a bit of a shame they didn't just go full animation... I have my doubts about how this is going to turn out given all those recent attempts at making a live-action Garfield, but even so, I still find this looking better than that Smurfs flick.

The posters they've put out are actually pretty great.

Honestly, I don't even care if it's fully animated or done this way, as long as the movie actually turns out decent, I'll be a happy camper.

And man, compared to the Smurfs, this looks sooo much better.

Honestly, it’s just okay...

Honestly, it looks pretty rough... It’s clearly aiming to be a pure kids' flick, though if we're being real, the original cartoon wasn't exactly groundbreaking either.

I don't care if it ends up being some kids' flick; my only requirement is that it’s actually decent, rather than turning out like Scooby-Doo and those other similar types...

Honestly, 🤷I’m just not sure how much I’m actually going to enjoy sitting through a movie where the whole "climax" involves characters getting hit in the face with pies. 🤣"

Honestly, this is strictly for the kids—they're going to love it—though I'm not entirely sure how many people in the States even know anything about that cartoon. Plus, the bears look like a total disaster visually

Yogi Bear’s Tagline is Ruder Than The Average.

The Tagline actually goes: Great things come in bears.

I'm really hoping this turns out to be a solid flick. Honestly, they could've just gone all out and thrown in the whole Hanna-Barbera roster, like Quick Draw McGraw and the rest of the gang. 👍

He’s definitely got some serious connections if that's how he landed the role. It’s honestly wild! 😳😠

I just can't wrap my head around him being in this, seriously; to me, he doesn't even project a masculine vibe. Does he actually have any acting chops? I find it hard to believe he's playing Boo-Boo because, honestly, a character like that deserves way better talent than him. If you can even call him an actor, I feel like he's more just someone who uses their connections to slide into whatever movie they want to be in.

Man, I was obsessed with the Yogi cartoon when I was a kid—hopefully this movie actually lives up to the hype.

I am definitely skipping this one, especially after seeing what they did to 😢

Unfortunately, it really is what it is, and honestly, I'm getting more frustrated by the day.

They could have done so much better with this, you know? But hey, maybe at least they finally managed to pull off one decent animated movie with Yogi.

I absolutely hated this cartoon when I was a kid—and hey, now that I'm an adult, I can officially hate it with even more authority. How precious 😁
