After crushing it in movies like The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans and Kick-Ass, and even if The Sorcerer's Apprentice was a bit of a dud based on early reviews (plus Season of the Witch is coming up soon), Nicolas Cage and his signature hair aren't slowing down one bit. Besides the already announced Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, he's got this Sci-Fi Thriller Drive Angry on the way. Naturally, since everything is nowadays, it’s being shot in 3D—which they’re making sure everyone knows via the title and those first teaser posters.
Just like with Ghost Rider, Cage is playing some kind of hero tied to hell and the devil, tearing up the road in a badass ride. He’s backed by William Fichtner, David Morse, Amber Heard, and Billy Burke. This $50 million flick is directed by Patrick Lussier, the guy behind My Bloody Valentine (also 3D) and White Noise 2: The Light. He actually helped write this one too, which hits theaters on February 11, 2011.

Nicolas Cage as Milton, a hardened felon who has broken out of hell for one last chance at redemption. Intent on stopping a vicious cult who murdered his daughter, he has three days to stop them before they sacrifice her baby beneath a full moon. He's joined by Piper (Amber Heard) – a young, sexy waitress who liberates her ex-boyfriend's cherry-red muscle car in order to help Milton. Now, the two of them are hot on the trail of the deadly leader of the cult, Jonah King (Billy Burke), who believes it is his destiny to use the baby to unleash hell on earth. But the bloodthirsty cult is the least of Milton's problems. The police are after him too.
And worse, an enigmatic killer known only as "The Accountant" – who has been sent by the Devil to retrieve Milton and deliver him back to hell. With wicked cunning and hypnotic savagery, The Accountant will relentlessly pursue Milton at high speed across the country until his mission is accomplished.
