I’ve got the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy in 1080p, which honestly looks twice as good as any old DVD.
Same goes for Rocky—I have every single one of those movies in 1080p too.

I have Blade Runner in H.264, and while I've got The Terminator on DVD, I have the sequel in H.264. I also have Avp 1 and 2 in H.264, but all those other ones from your list? I've just got them in DivX.

Man, I’d really love to find a decent DivX or H.264 version of that old historical documentary about the Battle of Gettysburg, because the version I currently have is just terrible—it's a grainy old VHS rip, and it's honestly unwatchable since the audio keeps crackling like someone's constantly crushing walnuts, and the picture looks like a fuzzy broadcast from an old TV with zero signal.

Torrents are your best friend here... and converters are even better—you could probably grab any flick from this list and burn a DVD in under four hours flat.

It’s the very first Toei Animation release that was never actually released outside of the USA, making it virtually impossible to track down today.

And what was the price tag back then?

Just a tiny little sum of $5,824 (that's five thousand eight hundred twenty-four dollars for those keeping count).

The DVDs were printed to order, and you'd even get a little figurine or a poster tucked in there with them. 😳

In short, this is the Holy Grail for any Dragon Ball fan. Sure, Funimation put out their own re-releases, but it’s just not the same when the intro text is all in English, or when they go and rename Mr. Satan to Hercules and things like that.

When it comes to Dragon Ball, I am an absolute purist. I wouldn't even dream of opening a collection like that; I'd just keep them behind thick plexiglass with a literal minefield surrounding the display. 🙂

In this day and age, when every single movie is basically at your fingertips, a topic like this feels pretty pointless—unless, of course, you're specifically talking about original DVDs.

And even if we are talking about physical collections, I’ve moved past that too... technology moves way too fast; eventually, all these formats will just be replaced by something better anyway.

I don't actually own a single movie collection. I'll watch something, then I delete it.

Does anyone happen to have a copy of Double Indemnity starring Antonio Banderas, M. Griffith, and d. Hannah? (I know it’s a bit silly, but I absolutely loved it when I was a kid 😁)

So far, all I've managed to track down is either the Spanish dub or versions with Swedish subtitles...

I honestly don't get it. In this day and age, with torrents and everything else out there, how does anyone actually struggle to find the movies they want to watch?? Personally, if I wanted something, I had it downloaded within a couple of days at most 🤷

I’d really love to finally finish my MoC and Criterion collections—I’m only about a third of the way there right now... honestly, I don't have many other big goals!

The thing is, they're mostly just on torrent sites where download speeds are painfully slow... and even when you try hitting up private trackers, finding a decent collection is nearly impossible without paying $15 or $20 per title!

So, just imagine trying to build out a massive library of 700 titles plus whatever else you might want...
