Honestly, who even cares what some random person goes by?

This handle is just so childish and stupid, and I picked it out ages ago when I was basically a kid.

Read through the first post and see if the username is available.

Yes, it’s available in that format, using a lowercase starting letter.

Case sensitivity doesn't matter here; the system treats them as identical. If the username Alan is taken, then alan is automatically off the table too.
Since Alan is an established profile with several thousand posts, you can't just change it.
You’re going to have to come up with something else.

Point six of the initial post:
Before you even think about requesting a nickname change, make sure the one you want isn't already taken. You can easily check this by clicking on the Member List.
Keep in mind that the forum doesn't distinguish between uppercase and lowercase letters in usernames. For instance, you won't be able to claim "Blabla" if "BLABLA" is already in use.

Dimitri already pointed this out above. Seriously people, read the first post. Moving forward, I am going to be deleting any requests from anyone who clearly hasn't bothered to read the rules.

Okay, I think I get it. If I want to change it, the nickname basically has to stay the same, otherwise I can just pick a totally new one, like Bryan Wells11?
