Look, I know what I’m asking might be against the rules, so please don't go handing out any bans or warnings. I just need some advice on how to handle this. My username is rowdywalker2. I actually set up this account way back in 2007 during my college days when I was obsessed with coding. 🙂 Over the last year, I've been pretty active trading on various boards—places like PC Expert, Bug, Gameplay, and Red-GSM. On all those sites, I go by the name goranbm... and I was wondering if there's any way I could change my nickname here to match? If it helps, I can probably prove my identity through those other forums. If the answer is a hard NO, what should my next move be? Do I really have to start from scratch with a new account? And am I even allowed to do that? Just let me know via DM or right here. Thanks. 🙂

Changing a username isn't an option. But you're more than welcome to just start a new account with whatever name you want.

Since my current username feels a bit nonsensical, and I’ve noticed people on the forums constantly coming up with all sorts of different nicknames for me—like micuvini or mivinici, I guess—I’d really like to just shorten my handle to "hollowfox19".

Given that most of the community already addresses me that way anyway, I’m hoping it won't be too much trouble to honor this request.🙂

I won’t hold it against you, even if you decide to issue me a red card. But let’s be clear: I have never requested a username change before. I inquired previously and was initially told it was possible, only to find out at the last minute that the name was already taken. Fine.
