I know there was once an opportunity to swap out these nonsense handles for something actual meaningful, but I missed my chance back then. Is there any way I can change my nickname now? This current one doesn't really mean anything to me.
If it's doable—I'd love to go by Kreont.
Just checked, and nobody else is using that name.
I'm not sure what the deal was with those old offers, but that ship has sailed. Usernames need to stay distinct so people can tell each other apart. If you're set on that specific handle, your best bet is just to start a new account.

Is VirgoSolutions an option?
Hmm, I think there's some logic to it... "T" for Tom, "Virgo" because of the zodiac sign (fingers crossed), and "Solutions" since this whole thing has basically become a permanent alter ego lately.
That’s a massive departure from the old handle.

Could I potentially become Kyle Martin3? :blink blink:
You certainly can. Just reach out to the admin.

I might be able to make it to math class.
If not, I'll at least try to pass my math exam.
You can join the math group, just reach out to Mike Miller.

Hmm.. so, what's the verdict? 🙂
That’s a pretty massive jump for a username change, isn't it? I mean, "TBS" doesn't even sound remotely anything like the current handle. So, if you're asking me... I'd say no.

Hi there! I’ve gone through the first post and scrolled through quite a few pages. I’m somewhat familiar with the fact that we don't typically use special characters, but I wasn't sure if the policy had changed recently—I actually know someone who just signed up using an underscore and a question mark.
So, would it be possible for me to go by Ines? Thanks! 🙂
The rules outlined in that first post are still very much in effect. So, unfortunately, that won't be possible.

Not trying to stir the pot, but you guys have overlapping rules here...
It's Zachary Sullivan
How the hell did I end up with an underscore in my nickname then?

There is a difference between registering a new username and the actual rules for changing one.

😢 What about Ines? Or would that be considered too much of a change? 😢

Jonathan Thompson60 is an option, too. 😢
Just make up your mind.

Hey, can I change my username to Carol Lee10?
My current handle feels a little too personal, haha.
Nope.

Hey there... I joined this forum back in 2007 and haven't bothered to update my handle since—would appreciate it if someone could change it for me
to "st stina"... thanks.
That seems like a bit of a stretch, though.

Since changing my handle to whatever I want would apparently trigger a total systemic collapse, 🙄 could you at least ditch this underscore between the words... if that isn't too much trouble. My apologies if I've caused any mental anguish by presenting such a complex dilemma... 🙂
Changing a nickname isn't the issue—it's the massive leap from Jack and Jill to something else entirely.
The change to "coastalangler16" is approved; just reach out to Sash.
