Hey, when I signed up, I really wanted the handle monsoon, but someone beat me to it. Then I tried using my old blog name, California in the antipodes, but it was way too long, so I ended up with daldowunder—kind of a joke, honestly. Is there any way I could change it to just down under or downunder?🙂

Actually, looking at the guidelines, one of the rules is that the new name should still be recognizable so people know it's me, so I suppose there isn't much point in trying to keep the new identity a secret from everyone else on the boards anyway.

None of those options are actually possible—the system won't allow special characters like that. That previous name change that got approved was a total fluke; they made an exception because the period was part of the response formatting.
