To me, it’s just your typical American flick—obsessed with its own lifestyle—so people here eat it up while everyone else is just confused.

But calling it a bad movie? No chance. Nobody can actually say that.

I caught it last night, and honestly? No regrets here.

It's a solid film.🙂

The lead's performance was spot on—great script, too, and the soundtrack was actually really good.

And I’ll just leave you with two words: Anna Kendrick!

Man, she is such a powerhouse.

On IMDb in the USA, it’s sitting at 7.7/10,

But honestly, I am officially done trusting IMDb ever again because they totally screwed me over when I went to see Crazy, Stupid, Love and it turned out to be completely stupid...

As for this movie, Up in the Air... yeah, nothing really, just a flat line for me.

I haven't seen a ton of movies with Clooney, but I've actually realized he's just a mediocre actor... He just doesn't have any charisma at all, and every single one of his roles feels like the exact same mold, whether he's playing the heartthrob, the businessman, the mobster, or the husband... it's all just so blah to me.

The plot itself might have had some potential, I guess, but there were just way too many issues with the casting 🙄
Like this guy, the husband... you wouldn't even hire him to be an extra!

And the sister and the other sister, the College girl... just some random no-name actresses 😕
That College girl and that whole crying scene when her boyfriend leaves her... probably one of the worst displays of fake crying I've ever seen... 🤷

But I see some people here think it's fantastic...

I actually found Up in the Air to be quite a solid film; the storylines felt incredibly well-rounded and the character arcs were handled with such precision, maintaining a consistent central theme from the opening scene right through to the end.

But honestly, I have zero clue what kind of role he’d actually fit because he just doesn't have that certain charisma OR maybe I just don't vibe with it. Nothing personal, though. 🤣
I’d probably throw Brad Pitt into that same bucket.

This is getting pretty off topic, but I actually watched a bunch of them and honestly only liked him in O Brother... (Is it just me, am I crazy?)
And if seven movies doesn't count for anything, then fine...
