Compared to Tomb Raider, I actually think this video game adaptation hits much harder... though, who knows, maybe if someone else had played Lara, it would have been different...

Angelina was honestly such a perfect pick for the role of Lara back then, but now apparently they're looking at Megan Fox instead.🤷

From what I can see, it's slated for summer or fall 2012, so we won't be waiting too long.

Update: the fifth installment is actually going to be a prequel; Resident Evil: Begins takes place in 1998 (so, before the first movie starts).
Jill Valentine is set to be the lead, while Alice will likely just be a minor character—maybe even totally insignificant.

I have a gut feeling this is going to be total garbage.

I honestly don't get why anyone would choose to film a prequel instead of just making a proper sequel to RE4. It's pretty obvious the story isn't finished yet. Instead, they just insist on messing around with these prequels. 🙄

No matter how terrible the "Afterlife" installment was, it clearly pulled in way more cash than the previous entries, and both Milla Jovovich and Sienna Guillory have already taken to Twitter to confirm they're training for the fifth film.

That reboot news was actually just an April Fools' Day prank by Bloody Disgusting, which other outlets then picked up and ran as if it were legitimate news.

It’s definitely possible, and honestly, I thought about it, but the article was dated April 2nd so I didn't give it any credit.

I don't get how people in Hollywood can mess around like that regarding new movies. There are fans out there constantly following every update and waiting on their favorite fan films, and someone could easily end up totally misinformed because of these stunts.
It’s just like that rumor floating around the other day claiming Jackie Chan had passed away.

It was such a vibe watching those 20th Century Studios movies back-to-back every single day (I'm talking about the first three installments). It’s been forever since I sat down to binge them, and honestly, it was a blast. The first one is still the best, hands down.

In the third one, the absolute highlight has to be that underground Tokyo sequence crawling with zombies.

I think all the RE movies are good. You know, mindless fun, great effects, the music, the boss fights...
My favorite is the fourth one, specifically because of that high-energy music in the opening scene.
The reboot featuring characters from the games and that specific atmosphere is coming this September, and I can hardly wait.

Personally, I think this series is great
