Do we even need to give a reason? Twilight — honestly, whoever directed it, I don't care. It was just incredibly dull—a horror/romance/sci-fi hybrid... or whatever they're calling it these days. After about an hour of the plot basically standing still—I mean, it’s pretty obvious to everyone in the movie that the guy is a vampire except for the lead girl—I just had to shut it off and find something else to watch...

Max Payne tries four times... falls asleep four times...

Vanilla Sky was halfway through when I just lost it. WTF!!! I turned it off... maybe I'll give it another shot once we actually have flying cars on the road...

Aviator, Night at the Museum, and Body of Lies
—those are the only three movies in my entire life that I actually had to turn off before they ended, and frankly, I’ve never felt the slightest urge to revisit them.

Heh, I was just about to settle in and start watching Body of Lies... looks like I'll have to find something else instead. 🙂

Troy... I’ve actually tried sitting through it three different times now, and every single time, I just ended up nodding off mid-scene. 🤣
And don't even get me started on 300...

Don't let my personal take discourage you too much, but I have to point out that plenty of other people here have described this movie as an absolute disaster. Honestly, seeing what happened to Ridley Scott is hard to wrap my head around.

I have started quite a few films recently, only to realize within the first ten minutes that I simply don't have the heart to finish them
instead of forcing myself, I just pivot back to something I know is actually worth my time, since I’ve seen it before...

As for the movies I ended up turning off halfway through—just thinking of a few off the top of my head

Street Racer — the buildup was tedious and the plot felt incredibly forced, which was such a massive disappointment regarding the Wachowskis' work

Ace Ventura 3 — even though the film certainly doesn't deserve its dismal 1.9 rating on IMDb
I had watched far too many movies following that exact same tired formula, so I decided to just shut it off...

D-War — honestly, it was just a poorly made film, there isn't much else to say about it...

2001: A Space Odyssey. Good grief, I have started this movie three separate times and yet I have never actually finished it.

Citizen Kane—honestly, a bit of a snooze fest. 😢

Scent of a Woman—also pretty tedious if you ask me.

Watched Aviator twice. Hard pass. Total waste of time.
I don't get why they call Mr. Bean's Holiday a comedy. There’s zero humor in it. I found myself wondering what the point was halfway through, then just... WTF. Turned it off.

I actually ended up drifting off during the final twenty minutes of Harry Potter while I was sitting in the theater this past Saturday.

Well then, what *do* you watch? Honestly... "Where are my car keys?" "Honey, where's my lunch?" "Darling, have you seen my diamond ring?"

I can power through almost anything! Honestly, I'll stick it out 99.99% of the time. The only exceptions are total train wrecks, like House of 1000 Corpses, Pulp Fiction, or Hellraiser 7 😬

Exactly, I was thinking the same thing! "Terrible" can mean many things, but this was that specific kind of brutal, gut-wrenching terror. Just gives me the chills.
