Hey there!

I’ll be turning 20 soon. I actually sat down with my doctor about a month ago to discuss breast augmentation—it's something I've been weighing for a while. I'm currently holding off because I have some other commitments to wrap up first, but the decision is essentially made.

So, I wanted to get some honest perspectives from this group: has anyone here actually gone through this kind of surgery? To be perfectly blunt, I used to look at women who opted for this and think they were just being immature—that was my internal bias, anyway. But then it hit me that making a change like this can seriously boost your self-confidence and overall happiness, which is why I've decided to take this leap. Still, I’d be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous. So, I have a few questions:

1. How long does the recovery process really take? I’ve heard some talk about it being closer to six months...

2. Am I looking at an overnight stay at the hospital, or is it more of a "get in and get out" situation where I head straight home after?

Any experiences you can share??

Why haven't you sat down with a plastic surgeon yet? Honestly, the quality varies wildly from one clinic to the next, and it really all depends on what kind of procedure you’re looking at.

Are you aware that implants have an actual "expiration date"? Depending on the type, we're talking about maybe five years before they need to be swapped out. It basically means signing up for several more surgeries over the course of your lifetime.

Honestly, you don't even realize that men—and I’m not talking about little kids here—aren't actually staring at breasts; they’re looking at the ass, or rather, a well-shaped, fuller backside. It can be any shape, really. Even bigger. But once a man matures, that's where his eyes land.

Now, the real question is who you're actually trying to attract. Men, or children?

As far as I’m concerned, go ahead and get the surgery if you want—but just know you’ll be altering the very thing that makes you who you are as an individual.

Maybe you aren't even aware that what you consider a flaw is actually your greatest asset.

Perhaps you've grown used to guys falling all over you—guys you aren't even interested in—
yet somehow, you still can't seem to catch the attention of the ones you actually like.

True self-confidence? That comes from being with someone who actually loves you, not from having larger breasts.

Look, honey, you can have melons for breasts, but if you end up with a jerk on your arm, God help your self-esteem—and just think about whether you really want to invite those kinds of jerks into your life by getting them bigger.
In doing that, you might actually be digging your own hole even deeper.

Just the other day, a friend came over for coffee; she’s got breasts, huge ones, for sure. But what does it matter? Her husband was cheating on her anyway.

Then again, if you're doing this strictly for yourself—just so dresses and necklines fit better—then maybe it's time to rethink the media you consume and the information sources you trust.

But then again, giving advice like this requires a lot of experience dealing with people.

And I know you didn't come here looking for genuine help; you're probably just here to brag a little and maybe fish for some encouragement to go through with it.

Well, I'm telling you: don't do it.
Work on your ass instead. And once you're married, just make sure you're taking care of your husband in the bedroom every single day.

Simple as that.
There's your self-confidence right there.

Then again, who exactly are you trying to impress?

Ask yourself what you would say to those men who might laugh at you for making this choice.

And then ask yourself what you would tell your friends or acquaintances if they tried to label you based on this decision.

Ultimately, whatever answer you give to those men and those friends—tell that same thing to yourself, provided you are doing this strictly for your own sake.

Give me a break!
Why on earth would she feel the need to apologize to anyone??
Who gives a damn what some judgmental small-towner thinks??
If she wants to go big and get a look like Pamela Anderson—so what?!

Why should she suffer through someone else's opinion at all?
She clearly knows what she’s doing and why she’s doing it—at the end of the day, she’s doing it for herself!!

I honestly don't get people who do everything just because someone else gave them the green light...
And to top it off, it's usually people who don't have any business in your life to begin with....

Donna Wood52—if you want to go for watermelon-sized boobs or whatever you're feeling—you have my full support!!
Though, my opinion shouldn't really be the deciding factor anyway...

👍 I completely agree. At twenty, you barely know how to wipe your own nose, let alone talk about "maturity." 😕
I'm not trying to be mean, but I think you're way too caught up in puberty stuff. You need to stand in front of a mirror and actually look at your body, because honestly, it's probably gorgeous given your age.
And here's the most important part: It's much better to pump up your confidence than your chest. That'll serve you way better in life.
That's just my honest opinion.

I think you're exaggerating just a bit. I wouldn't want to walk around with a Pamela Anderson lookalike situation or something massive—that’s just not really my vibe. It feels a bit too "easy" for me, if you know what I mean.

What I actually want is to get some work done that actually fits my frame—something feminine and classy, just a little more pronounced. There, satisfied?

I’m not entirely sure how to put this into words, so I figured I’d just post an image to give you a rough idea of what I’m aiming for:

The photo shows the "before" and "after" results from the procedure. Honestly, my goal is to end up looking like the "after" shot.

Looking at your photos, you look maybe around 15 or 16 to me. How tall are you? Honestly—why not just hold off on the surgery for another two or three years until you're fully grown? I know plenty of girls whose chests didn't really finish developing until much later on. 🙂

Look, honey, it isn't about the chest or the rear end. It’s about that little triangle between the legs. Believe me, that's what actually runs the world. As for everything else? Whether it's big or small, just deal with it and move on.🙂

The photos aren't bad. I just don't see a scar in the "after" shot.
Is this even the same girl?

Wait—isn't that just some other girl entirely?

Actually, once you're through with the surgery—and I mean really healed up—you can barely even tell there was an incision at all. It’s practically invisible.

Bill Gates said:Looking at these photos, you give off a bit of a sophomore vibe—maybe around twenty years old? How tall are you, anyway? I know plenty of girls whose chests didn't even stop growing until much later in their twenties. It might be worth waiting. 🙂

I find it hard to believe it’s actually going to climb that high—honestly, I’ll be hitting my 20th anniversary before that happens. 🤷 It’s not even about my height—I've got hips, so having breasts like this actually fits my frame. I'm 5'5", by the way. And honestly, from what I've read, you can go under for plastic surgery once you hit legal adulthood. I want to feel confident and happy while I'm still young; once I'm old and gray, I won't care nearly as much. As long as my mammogram comes back clear and my doctor gives me the green light, that's all that matters.

My parents basically need to wait for that court ruling to finally drop—it’s already been decided, really, the judge just needs to sign off on it before the end of September—and once that settlement money actually hits their account, then they can finally afford to go see a specialist for those consultations.
It’s certainly not exactly cheap—not by any stretch of the imagination. $7333Honestly, is it even worth it? It’ll just end up wrecking my self-esteem in the long run. And let me be clear—I'm not doing this because I have some deep-seated psychological issue to work through—I'm doing it purely for my own damn satisfaction.

Totally agree!!
When I said you could go as big as watermelons if you wanted, I was really just talking about your freedom. You should have the right to choose whatever you want, especially when people you don't even know try to tell you otherwise...

Anyway—if you go up just a couple of cup sizes, you won't go wrong!
The biggest mistake a woman can make with implants is definitely overdoing the size. 🙂
Then it just looks like you've got two bowling balls stuck on your chest, and it looks totally fake...

Don't rush things... mine didn't fully develop until I was 22. Now at 75D, I can tell you there isn't a single silicone implant out there that looks as good as my natural ones... Just be patient, you might still be growing, and there will always be time for surgery later on.
