3.5mm to micro USB adapter

Hey there

So, the 3.5mm headphone jack on my Android tablet just died on me.

Can I fix this using an adapter like this one?

And if I can, does anyone know where I can grab one locally? I've been scouring the usual US sites, but it seems like such a niche little thing that nobody bothers to stock it properly 🙂 I really don't feel like waiting a month for some package to ship all the way from China.

And why on earth would you think a tablet would have an audio jack on a micro-USB port? That just wouldn't work, unfortunately...

We should really give China some credit for their knack for innovation 😁
They can churn out just about any kind of adapter you can imagine. It honestly doesn't even matter if the thing actually works—they'll still manufacture it.
Take a VGA to HDMI converter, for instance. There’s zero actual circuitry involved—it might not even have a functional Wire 😬 inside—
They basically just pair two different plugs together and call it a day—presto, there's your custom adapter.

Not bad, I almost pulled the trigger on that one myself...

I actually own one of those 🙏

There is internal wiring, sure, but it's just that simple 😬

And honestly, you see about 98-99% positive feedback from buyers on eBay 🤣
