My apologies if this topic already exists or if I’ve posted in the wrong section.
I'm dealing with a BIOS set to German.
I can't make heads or tails of the specific settings I need to adjust to handle the system format (booting).
Is there any sort of language pack available to switch this over to English?

Maybe try pulling the CMOS battery off the motherboard for at least two minutes—that should trigger a factory reset. If the system is still stuck in German, just look up your specific motherboard model and head over to the IBM website. Once you're there, find the latest BIOS version, download it, and run the install. Though, honestly, I doubt you'll be seeing German again after that.

I already tried all that. Nothing worked.
I also attempted to find a newer version, but the site just dumps a massive list on me without clearly stating which one is the most recent update.
Any ideas?

Do you happen to know which motherboard model you're working with? You'll want to grab the BIOS update with the highest version number available—for instance, something like BIOS version 1.90

I already put everything in the original post. Could you please take a look so I don't have to repeat myself?
I don't see anything like that there.

Honestly, I haven't got a clue—this stuff is ten years old now. I can't seem to track it down anywhere.

Why don't you try looking for that option in the BIOS? At least that's how Google Translate phrased it, so I'm not entirely sure if it's actually right.

Fine, I'll check once I get home.
Thanks anyway.

Hmm, do you have a phone with a decent camera? Maybe you could snap some photos and just type the German words into Google Translate.
