George Clooney versus Climate Change?

If Greta isn't in the movie, I'm skipping it!

George jumps from one genre to another effortlessly.
When I really sit back and think about it, is there actually any genre where he doesn't stand out, or is he just mediocre at best across the board?

It’s honestly tough to even tell what this flick was aiming for—or if it had a point at all. Most of the time, you’re just totally lost, like you have zero clue what’s happening or where the plot is actually heading.

Total garbage. Honestly, the only part worth watching is those two seconds at the start when Tuvok makes his cameo. 🤣

What an absolute train wreck of a movie... It’s like the creators didn't even have a clue what the plot was supposed to be or where they were heading... They just completely lost the plot mid-way through—it's like if you took Gravity, mixed it with Passengers, threw in Interstellar, tossed in The Day After Tomorrow, and then served it up as a total disaster...

Even though the plot holes in this movie are basically rolling off a conveyor belt at this point, I think the biggest logic fail has to be that X-23 location.

Man, after all those probes and deep-space missions exploring Jupiter's system—whether they're coming from deep space or monitoring from Earth—it’s just mind-bogglingly stupid that a young George Clooney would stumble upon a spherical moon orbiting Jupiter like he found it by accident.

Not to mention the fact that the idiots in the film keep calling it a planet.

I honestly can't remember the last time I sat through something this boring—like, deeply, painfully tedious and just completely pointless.

Maybe that 2002 remake of Solaris...

It was just terrible. Seriously, don't bother. You'd be better off watching tiles dry on a patio or literally anything else...

Then there’s that part where they break protocol by calling up China, India, and Russia just to ask why nobody's answering them??? Is Trumpism still going strong in 2049??? And apparently everyone is an enemy to the USA, even though the whole world is going to hell, yet we all just keep hating each other anyway😁

Someone please give me one good reason why Interstellar isn't actually good

I drifted off after just thirty minutes—honestly, I’m on the fence about even bothering to finish this. The pacing is just painfully slow.

Don't. Seriously. Just... don't. You aren't going to lose anything by staying put...

A legitimate Christmas movie for 2020.

Personally, I thought the film was fine.. watchable enough..
If there are logic gaps, you just look past them; it's a fantasy film, after all..

They talk about a disaster on Earth... well, George should be making a film about a real disaster on Earth—you know, like the situation where he rakes in a hundred million dollars by selling his vodka brand.. That kind of thing is a bigger plague today than radiation, or those subtle nods to Climate Change..
But..

Furthermore, right before this, I was watching some stuff about Mount Athos in Greece.. In the movie, George looks exactly like a monk, like a literal monk.. It's like he's been cloned..
Good grief, Mount Athos must be crawling with George Clooneys..

That was probably the worst movie I've seen in the last decade or so. It felt pretty obvious from the get-go that nothing much was happening and the plot didn't really make any sense. I guess I'm still a little bit in shock over it.

It probably isn't the absolute worst thing ever made, but man, it's weak. Honestly, the movie just feels empty. It’s totally inconsequential. It actually makes me wonder what the writer was even trying to pull off here.
I mean, sure, there are a few details and concepts that work fine on their own—mostly stuff involving George Clooney's character, his backstory, and how those emotions bubble up now—but in the grand scheme of things, it’s pretty irrelevant. The movie ends up feeling way less than the sum of its parts.

Maybe Netflix really needs to start filtering their productions a bit more instead of just throwing money at projects and greenlighting everything just because some big name wants to make a movie. Then again, you can tell from this one that the production felt cheap; they clearly cut corners on everything from the locations to the sets...

It’s not the worst film out there—my colleagues are definitely exaggerating how bad it is—but it’s seriously sub-par and boring. At the end of the day, it's totally unnecessary. I bet the book actually makes sense.
But yeah, skip it.

I guess it’s just my opinion, but that one was definitely the worst for me—it's all subjective, after all. It mostly comes down to the context: you have this streaming giant dropping a movie on Christmas Day starring an A-list actor, only for it to be an incredibly bad film. I suspect we'll see more of this as the industry shifts; it feels like big tech companies are stepping in to churn out artistic content now that the traditional film industry has lost its way.
