I’m honestly lost on which sub I should even be asking this in...
Two days ago, on Saturday, I joined a gym and did a session with a trainer. I made sure to mention right off the bat that I wasn't exactly in shape.
The exercises weren't even that intense, but clearly, they were way too much for me right now.
the next day—so, yesterday—my muscles were incredibly sore. My stomach felt tight and a bit bloated, which didn't seem like a huge deal at first,
since I just assumed it was standard muscle soreness. But then, right before bed last night, I noticed this bulge above my belly button.
It was right where those top two abdominal muscles sit, though I don't know the technical names for them.
The bulge looked like a little horizontal ridge; above it, my stomach was normal (well, slightly bloated), then there was the bulge, and
below it, the stomach was also flat (but still bloated). I honestly panicked thinking it might be a hernia or something similar...
I just went to sleep hoping it would be gone by morning.
And sure enough, when I woke up, that "ridge" was gone. But instead, my stomach felt even more bloated and rock hard. What actually SHOCKED me,
even more than that bulge from the night before, was how my belly button changed overnight!!! It used to be a perfect
circle, but now it looks like only the bottom half of a circle remains. I'm guessing because my stomach bloated so much,
the skin got stretched so tight that it pulled the navel area outward. Now that top half of my belly button is gone; it's no longer indented
within the navel itself, if that makes sense... it's just flush with my abdomen now.
I am seriously freaking out. Half my belly button has basically vanished. How is that even possible??? Does anyone have any advice?
My stomach is still bloated and tight... I really don't want to lose the rest of my belly button. Is there any hope that everything will go back to the way it was?!?
