Daniel Edwards11 said:Heat? It certainly isn't doing any favors for an already fragile balance. I was never much of a summer person to begin with, but now things have taken a turn for the worse... If I do find myself heading toward the coast, it will be in the late evening once the sun has lost its bite. I've never had much use for direct sunlight anyway (sunbathing was never really my thing). To my fellow travelers out there: hang in there. It is clear we possess enough resilience to endure this prolonged stretch... People often tell me that you could never tell just by looking at me that I'm struggling, which I suppose is a compliment to my resolve. As for those who think we are merely making excuses... well, we know the truth. And frankly, their opinions are irrelevant. Stay strong and keep the faith that things will improve:-

I'm right there with you!

My dear friends, I find myself feeling slightly improved over the last few days, though I did venture out to the beach this evening. I must admit, however, that the ocean air and water seem to congest my ears, triggering that dreadful cranial pressure; it is rarely ever a perfect recovery. In just a few days, I am scheduled for an audiology appointment, and if I am being honest, the mere thought of it makes me feel nauseous—particularly those tests designed to induce vertigo. But such is life, I suppose. Take care of yourselves.

Like I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been dealing with this issue for quite a while now. It all kicked off with some sort of virus—basically a nasty flu—and ever since, it’s been nothing but dizziness, headaches, neck pain, and just... various other things. I’ve gone through the wringer with tests—running endless panels for every possible virus, getting brain and spine MRIs, cardiac ultrasounds, chest X-rays 🙂 and the list goes on, yet nobody can find a definitive cause.
I suppose since I picked this up while traveling abroad, it might just be some type of virus or bacteria that our bodies here in the States aren't used to—maybe my system just needs time to process it all. Some days I feel great and hit the gym, but other days I’m just completely wiped out for no apparent reason. Honestly, it’s a struggle on both a physical and mental level, but you have to keep moving forward. If I can offer any advice, just find ways to decompress, because everything seems to stem from your headspace. Also, as I touched on earlier, maybe look into SMS on those alternative health sites; apparently, it helps clear out viruses and bacteria, but please, do your own research and read up on it thoroughly online first. Modern medicine clearly isn't providing the answers I need here, but life goes on regardless.

The weather keeps shifting and my vertigo is acting up again; honestly, I am just ready to throw the whole damn thing away.
I am tired of dealing with those incompetent doctors who just tell me to wait out the dizziness for a few days whenever it hits. I would love to see how they handle it if they were stuck feeling this way themselves.

Hey everyone, I could really use some insight here. For a while now, I’ve been feeling like I’m losing my balance whenever I walk, almost like I'm moving through a fog. Sometimes it feels like there's a tiny piece of cotton stuck right in front of my eyes, blurring my vision. About two months ago, I dealt with a nasty middle ear infection and inflammation of the eardrum. Could this be a lingering side effect from that? I tend to worry about everything, so I'm starting to freak out a bit. I saw my doctor today, and they mentioned it might be related to my ears and suggested waiting a little longer to see if things settle down. Also, even when I'm just sitting still, I get this sensation like the room is swaying. On top of that, my neck is killing me—it feels like I'm carrying a massive weight on my shoulders.
Do you think this could be coming from anxiety?
Thanks in advance for any help!! 😉

It could be your ears, anxiety, or even your neck...
Unfortunately, I've been fighting this exact same thing for almost 6 years now on and off, so I can't really offer any expert advice... just hoping it clears up for you soon. 😉

Thanks for getting back to me! I've got another ENT appointment next week, so we'll see. Honestly, the blurred vision is what's really messing with my head. I spend plenty of time at my desk working on the computer, but still... my mind immediately jumps to the worst-case scenario. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious!
I'm rooting for you too—six years is a long time to deal with that. Those balance issues sound incredibly frustrating...

God, I honestly thought I was the only one going through this nightmare!!😢Two months ago, the dizziness and that sinking feeling started, and I legit thought I was dying. I struggle with anxiety and depression too, plus I messed up when I was younger and didn't treat a nasty ear infection properly. Now, my ear hurts constantly. My doctor says everything looks fine on the outside, but thinks it might be an issue with my inner ear balance. A few days ago at work, I felt so faint I ended up in the ER, where they gave me some medication—maybe Trinasec or something similar—and that finally stopped the spinning. But the worst part is the fear of leaving the house; I'm terrified of passing out again. I feel better lying down, and sometimes the vertigo vanishes for a day, but other times it's constant, and I'm popping my anxiety meds like Tic Tacs.😂I have a friend dealing with the exact same thing, and he’s basically let it hijack his entire life (no beach trips, no sun, no clubs, nothing). I refuse to live like that because, honestly, that isn't living.🤷

Go see an ENT specialist and lay it all out for them, because this sounds like an inner ear issue.

Maybe try spending less time at the computer; I have neck issues myself. My job requires me to stand all day with bad posture, so that could be part of it. Go see a doctor—I'm heading to a private clinic this Monday for some tests. A couple of years back, I had head scans and spinal ultrasounds done. I'd probably look into getting a CT scan just to be sure.😂

I've already seen a whole crowd of doctors. I've done everything from audiology tests to seeing a neurologist (MRI, Doppler, spinal scans, EEG). It really might just be bad posture. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of tests are you headed in for?
