Damn (oops, my bad!) I have zero intention of paying someone to play judge and jury, nor am I interested in sucking up to anyone just to stay in their good graces.

Look, this isn't some public dive bar, okay?
Anyone can jump into discussions on Reddit as long as they follow the established rules. We don't need to go out and recruit anyone; whether someone decides to hang out here or not is entirely up to them.
You don't have to suck up to anybody. Just respect the rules, and you should never even have to deal with the moderators, or heaven forbid, the admins.

Look, nobody is out here kicking people off Reddit. We have rules in place, sure, and anyone who actually follows them is more than welcome to hang out with us. But honestly? It’s just kind of hilarious to me when someone sticks around on the platform only to turn around and take such an absurdly ridiculous stance on the very thing we're all talking about. It’s almost comedic!
And honestly—if you want to go off about some random tracks or spend your time trolling? Hey, that’s your call! It's your business, really.

The thread serves absolutely no purpose. The author is merely posing questions for which they already hold the answers. I can't help but wonder where this sudden obsession with charging fees originated.

Not only have three different discussions become tangled together, but if this isn't shut down, the entire thing will devolve into nothing but trolling and off-topic nonsense. It truly has no business being on PŽK.

Then, predictably, the conversation shifted toward how the individual in question might become a moderator—or, heaven forbid, an administrator. I am quite curious to see where this goes, assuming Tyndall doesn't lock the thread first, though I'm fairly certain he will.☕

I suppose if the moderators actually followed those same rules instead of grasping at straws and interpreting everything based on whatever mood they woke up in, we might actually have a functional community. But I guess it’s hard to expect consistency when everyone just does whatever they feel like. There is an old saying for a reason... the rot starts at the top.🙄🙄

It’s honestly hilarious how many people on here have been whining about the moderators and those damn bot accounts lately.
Look, I'm not saying it's a crime to ask for a little extra cash if it actually meant we'd get some real professionalism and actual quality around this forum, because let's be honest, we could all use a bit more substance.

I don't know about those specific mods... well, I don't mean to generalize all of them, but just those particular ones.

So you're saying there hasn't been any quality or professionalism until now, and money is just going to fix that...? It’s not about some pocket change, but the point is that with all the ads we have and the sponsored posts—thank God for those—this place can stay afloat just fine...
What's the catch then? Who gets all that cash from this future (hopefully non-existent) idea of charging people to hang out here? Do the moderators need a raise...? Does someone need a new Tesla Model S...? If everything has been "working fine" up until now, why is someone suddenly deciding it's totally okay to reach into everyone's pockets and grab a few dollars...

The moderators aren't getting paid for this :P
But what was hollowtrucker77 actually getting at (at least, that's how I read it)—people would probably be a lot more mindful about their tone and how they phrase things if there were some kind of subscription fee involved. Plus, we wouldn't have to deal with all those unnecessary clone accounts and whatnot...
