The movie was just mediocre...

I think the movie is great, but it’s definitely not for everyone...

I’ve been reading that this horror movie is actually pretty heavy when you really think about it...🙄

I actually found myself pleasantly surprised by this one. A top-tier thriller in my book...

It’s actually way better than the original, which is such a rare find since usually, the remake just ends up being a total letdown compared to the first one.

I’m not particularly fond of horror films, to be honest. Is this one truly terrifying?

It isn't scary at all... I mean, it’s a great movie, but it’s not one of those typical slashers where they just try to jump out and scare you every five minutes...

Well, I’ve run into a bit of a snag. It turns out the movie doesn't have subtitles enabled—or rather, my incredibly stupid DVD player refuses to load them. Dammit. So, I decided to transfer the file to my computer to see if that would help, but as I was scrubbing through the footage, I ran headfirst into that horrific assault scene. It was absolutely revolting. Still, I can't quite shake the feeling that there might be something actually worthwhile underneath all that grit.

I sat through it, though I have to admit I spent more time looking away during that first segment in the woods than actually watching, simply because it was so unsettling. Once it moves into the house, it settles down, though I found the power dynamic a bit jarring—how effortlessly he handled the father, whereas the other guy seemed to be tossed around like a ragdoll. That scene with the garbage disposal in the sink, however, was absolutely top-tier filmmaking.🙏

Man, this movie is absolutely killer! It’s easily one of the best in its genre, though honestly? It’s nowhere near as brutal or intense as I Spit on Your Grave.
