The producer behind Halloween II, Malek Akkad, just gave the word that the first teaser for Rob Zombie's Halloween II is going to be attached to prints of Crank 2: High Voltage when it hits theaters next Friday on the 17th. I'm guessing we'll probably see the trailer pop up online right around then, too.

We should get that teaser trailer next Friday 🙂

Man, just finished rewatching Friday the 13th and Halloween (the remake, obviously)! Now I'm basically counting down the days until August rolls around so I can finally check that one off too.😍😛

The answer is no. This movie has absolutely nothing to do with the one released back in 1981. I guess the only tiny similarity is that my film features a quick hospital scene near the beginning, but even that is 100% different. We're talking entirely new characters and totally new setups here. This isn't some remake of a sequel; it's just the continuation of the Halloween I started. Hopefully, that clears things up.

If I'm catching this right, there isn't really a connection to the other Halloween films. So what exactly is this movie even about?

Rob Zombie said this movie doesn't have any connection to the original Halloween II; he's just making a sequel to his own film. As far as I can tell, the beginning seems like a continuation of the remake, but the rest could take place after some time has passed since Laurie is visiting a psychiatric facility, Dr. Loomis wrote another book, and so on... 🙂

Alright, thanks... so that makes it a completely different movie compared to the original sequel..

He’s definitely different when he’s sticking to his own scripts (like The Devil's Rejects), but honestly, his first Halloween was total nonsense. It felt like a cheap imitation of the original, especially with that unnecessary prologue where they spoon-feed us the entire backstory of why Michael became... well, what he is. To me, that completely ruined the character. The whole terror of the original films came from the mystery—that sense that this thing was something non-human. But what Zombie did? I just wasn't feeling it. He tried to turn him into just another human being who had a rough childhood or whatever, which turned him into a maniac by accident. It's pointless... I mean, I'll probably watch this sequel too, but I am going in with absolutely zero expectations.

The teaser that popped up on the Blu-ray last night (someone filmed it using a camera pointed at their computer screen 🤣) seems alright. It looks like R. Zombie wasn't lying when he mentioned that Halloween II is going to be a complete departure from the first film. I have to say, Sheri Moon looks almost comical in those visions Michael is having (likely a dream 🤷) — she looks exactly like she did in the "Living Dead Girl" video!

The link is still active, though the quality is pretty terrible, you can still see and hear everything clearly. Yahoo Movies really ought to upload the teaser in HD quality sometime today.

wow!! looks awesome, but Rob also said there wouldn't be anything supernatural in Halloween II, and this stuff with Sheri seems a bit much to me. But whatever, at least Michael isn't some cult member who turned him into a killer.

Wait, did Sherri just say "kill her baby"? I don't know, maybe it's just me, but it totally reminds me of that old Friday the 13th scene where Betsy goes "Kill her mommy, kill her" XD
