The movie trailer looks interesting, but that whole "dead mom makes me want to kill like Friday" bit feels pretty lame.
The main thing is that Rob Zombie found a way to bring Sherri back for the sequel. 😂

Exactly. In the remake, the first half was basically all about her, and now this woman just crawls back from the grave! It feels a little weird too—if we're supposed to believe these are just dreams, I mean, does Michael even sleep? 😕

This will inevitably be garbage, much like every other Halloween movie released since Carpenter's original masterpiece back in 1978.

Some weren't actually terrible: part 2, part 4, and H20.

Rob Zombie's Halloween is a bust because he tries to turn this pure incarnation of evil into some psychological thing about childhood trauma. As for his other one—this whole subplot involving Michael's mom doesn't look like it's heading anywhere good.

Uh... yeah, those two are somewhat okay—I guess "two" works because Carpenter actually had a hand in it, and H20 is fine since they brought back Jamie Lee, but "four"... man, that's where the series really starts to slide... (not counting "three" though, since that thing barely even belongs to the franchise as it is)

Rob Zombie is basically a masterclass in how to fast-track the destruction of a classic like Halloween! Honestly, I’ll take the originals any day—specifically Halloween and Halloween II starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald P.

Seriously, if Rob Z. had at least put in the effort to cast actors who actually fit the roles, maybe we'd be talking, but this? It just doesn't work. First off, Laurie Strode should at least bear some resemblance to Jamie Lee C.; let's be real, Jamie Lee Curtis is the only one who ever truly made that role believable. On top of that, I wish Rob Zombie had found someone who actually looked like Donald P....
It also drives me crazy that Rob Z. threw in these random elements that serve absolutely no purpose. It’s a shame to see a masterpiece like this end up in the hands of the WRONG PERSON!!

I’m not expecting anything spectacular from this sequel remake, other than a bunch of garbage and unnecessary filler...

AMC Theatres is dropping it on September 24th this year 🙂 in the US it's August 28th, but honestly, it doesn't even matter since two years ago we were stuck waiting until Halloween itself..

I honestly gave it a look... just don't bother downloading it. It really isn't worth your time 🙂 I'd say you'd practically be cursing God for wasting money on a ticket. People were actually walking out before the credits even rolled—just totally disappointed. 👎

It’s worth checking out as soon as Michael Myers shows up 😍
did anyone else grab these "dvd-rips"?

I didn't really get the feeling that was actually Michael—honestly, I feel like they just completely butchered him with this movie🤣
No, just a cozy little watch🙂

I watched this right on New Year's Eve back in 2009. They aired it around 3 AM. My take? It wasn't anything special. Just the typical Michael Myers wandering around, butchering people like a butcher. Honestly, there isn't much anyone can do to change the outcome here, no matter how hard they try. The only thing left to do is finally kill him off and put an end to these sequels once and for all....

It sounds like you actually watched the remake, but some idiots over at CNN mislabeled it as Halloween II! This whole thread is supposed to be about the actual sequel to the film you saw on New Year's Eve.

My bad. I didn't realize. People online are genuinely crazy; they claim they're showing one movie when it's clearly something else.👎

I would totally download it myself, but I can't find an English version anywhere, so does anyone happen to know where I might track down a translation since Google Translate wasn't much help
