Look, GT isn't quite on the same level as the Z saga, but it’s still decent enough—mostly just because I'm into the future transformations and those fresh fight sequences. My one real gripe is how short the run is; there just aren't enough episodes to really sink into. But hey, who knows... maybe a brand new series would actually turn out better than GT ever did.
We might never know for sure.

Hmm, honestly, I can't stand that part. It feels so ridiculous having this endless stream of transformations. Even back in the Buu saga, that Super Saiyan 3 thing—you know, the one where they get that absurdly long hair and lose their eyebrows? It was way too much. And don't even get me started on those fusion dances... it's just silly. I mean, it doesn't drive me crazy right now, but still, I absolutely love Dragon Ball Z.🙂
As for GT, I thought it was incredibly stupid how Goku turned back into a kid again. Plus, those space adventures felt way too childish, like some knock-off version of Pokémon or something... 🤷
Oh, and I also noticed they totally changed the art style! For example, Trunks looks completely underwhelming in GT, and honestly, everyone looks like a cheap plastic action figure with that weird, tacky shine on them...

Look... personally, I don't mind having more of them. It’s actually a good way to see how much a character progresses throughout the whole series. You can see them getting stronger and stronger. I remember an episode where Goku was powering up and trying to hit that SSY3 form, and he almost wiped out Earth because there was just too much energy being released.
As for Buu, I think Goku had to go SSY4 because that guy was a massive challenge for him. If I recall correctly, he sent him flying into space with a Kamehameha.
Though, it feels a bit weird to me since Buu doesn't even seem that powerful.
The fusions are cool to me, too, since you get two characters merging into one to become even stronger.
I think you can see the fusion of Vegeta and Goku in the final episode of GT.
I agree about child Goku being a letdown. I spent the whole time just waiting for the first few seasons to wrap up so the Z Saga could actually start, because that part is great.😉
Regarding that shiny look, I think it's fine; it shows how the effects and computer animation have improved throughout the series.
Trunk had medium-length hair at the start, and then later on, once he grew up, he let it grow out.

Let’s be honest: all these battles against non-Saiyan opponents are just plain stupid. Every single one of Goku's enemies just shows up out of nowhere, already maxed out. There is zero backstory, zero buildup. While we get a front-row seat to how Goku achieves his new power levels, everyone else is just handed theirs. The internal logic of this universe is completely broken.

And don't even get me started on those ridiculous dragons in GT. Those Dragonballs were basically created by a bunch of idiots, considering Goku bypassed their entire power scale the moment he became a Super Saiyan. He spent all that time learning how to multiply his strength by 2x, 3x, or 4x, and then suddenly, the dragons from those balls are supposedly strong enough to rival him?
Give me a break.
Every fight after the Super Saiyan era feels like the work of some hyper-obsessed geek author who probably hasn't spoken to a woman in his entire life.

I don't follow you at all 😕
To me, everything is perfectly logical and tightly woven together. They always throw in a retrospective, right? Like, when Trunks arrives, you finally learn everything about the androids and how they came to be. And Frieza is a totally logical progression from the Saiyan Saga since you find out Vegeta was actually his soldier/underling...
Besides, the backstories of how they gained that much power aren't even necessary. That would just be useless filler episodes that would bore the audience to death... You have plenty of info on him: he's a super powerful alien conquering planets, building armies from the locals, and trying to rule the entire universe. He wants those Dragonballs because he's terrified someone stronger will show up... It's a perfectly logical story...

What do you mean there's no history? If you actually pay attention, you'll realize they show glimpses of the Sayianac origins all the time.
And Frieza's history was discussed too, explaining what he was like, just not as much as Goku's.
Regarding the power bypassing... Sayianacs are used to their specific "combat" strength, the way they always fight with it, whereas Goku learned how to actually increase his ceiling.
Take the start of the Z saga, for example... When Vegeta arrived on Earth, he was shocked at how Goku had become stronger and faster in an instant. And back then, Vegeta had a power level around 16,000.
Goku faced him with 4,000 and gradually grew stronger through the fight. They both almost died in that battle, but once Vegeta recovered, he also gained that ability to control his power.

Exactly, and the androids were giving even SSY Goku a hard time. I think it was Vegeta who saved him back then, having managed to transform after intense training (which makes sense, considering how jealous he was of Goku's progress).
Frieza is a crazy character to me^^—he's so small, sitting in those floating chairs, yet possesses such devastating power. He can also transform into different forms, though he rarely had to since he was always fighting "weaklings." I reckon Frieza's first form is around 250,000, which is huge. Meanwhile, SSY Goku is around 4,000,000.
Regarding Vegeta being Frieza's soldier, he never really liked it, and Vegeta was determined to become immortal because that was his only way to beat Frieza.
As for the rest of the post, I agree.😉
It always seems to go the same way in this series—some bigger threat just pops up to humble them. You see it with Frieza vs Gok, then Cell vs everyone, followed by Buu vs Goku, and finally that whole Dragon vs Goku-Vegeta situation.

This movie is absolutely fantastic, and if I may be so bold, Chi-Chi is looking quite stunning in her own way 😁

😲 I really hope that was just sarcasm 😂
because if it isn't, then what on Earth makes you think it’s actually good? (absolute clown behavior)

From the perspective of someone who hasn't followed Dragonball Z closely, the Dragonball movie actually holds up quite well; while I can recite most of the episodes from memory, my mind wasn't even drifting toward the original Dragonball storyline while I was watching the film.

It’s been ages since I last sat down to watch Dragonball, so my memory of the actual plot is a little fuzzy. But I always thought Vegeta was easily the wildest and most entertaining character... though I just checked IMDb and noticed he isn't listed...

Could one of you true Dragonball experts let me know why that is??

True enough, though I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to base a sequel on the Z saga.

Well, speaking from that exact same standpoint, I still think the movie is absolute garbage... the acting? Pathetic. The humor? Gone in two seconds. Action? Zero points. Tension? Absolutely nothing. It’s only any good if the viewer is six years old.🤷

But isn't this one already following the Z style?😲

Bear with me, I’m a bit out of the loop here, so someone please enlighten me.😁

Are we going to see that creepy old man, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Vegeta, or Bulma?🤣

Will there be any Super Saiyans? Is Trunks going to show up? Will Krillin finally get some hair? 🤣
Will we see 🤣Broly?

The old guy will be there but he won't be quite that perverted; you'll get a blue-haired, ugly version of Yamcha, plus Tien, Chiaotzu, no Vegeta, and yes, Bulma...

Honestly, people, if you actually want an entertaining movie with characters that aren't a total disaster, just watch that old classicDragonball : The Magic Begins (Xin qi Long Zhu shen Long de Fu Shou)

Unfortunately, no. But if they actually decide to greenlight a sequel, they could pull it off—and honestly, it could end up being way more successful than Evolution was.
Personally, I'm fine with this movie. It works for me.

Uhuh😁...I I have to agree, a sequel would probably be a much better move than what we got.😁

Just one quick question, though—which actress do you think they'll cast as Bulma? *.*
I saw Goku, and honestly, he’s pretty rough looking.🙄..One of my buddies actually puts more effort into his look than Goku does. 😁

If there's any connection to Saiyans later on, then sure, obviously.😉

In this movie, Bulma is played by Emmy Rossum, but as for who might show up in a sequel, nobody knows yet.

Ah, I know her. Hmm. It’s a bit difficult to picture her in a role like that, but I suppose it could work.🙂

I am genuinely curious how they would handle the transformation in a potential sequel—how they'd make them actually look like Super Saiyans... 😬...they aren't going to resort to using blue hair dye, are they?🤣

Sure, because apparently during a transformation, a stylist just shows up and makes it 🤣

"Hair dye is what gives you power!" 🙂
