Why were some profiles deleted?

I’ve noticed some profiles just... vanished. Like, you try to click through and there's no post count—just "n/a" or something similar. What’s actually going on there, and is it something you can do yourself?

The database took a hit. Apparently, we don't have the option to delete our own profiles here.😁

Why exactly?

It is quite simply a matter of following the rule....

Only an administrator possesses the authority to delete it, and even then, only if there is an exceptionally compelling reason to justify such an action.

When you look at the bottom of the Reddit homepage and see that like, 7 billion people have a birthday today, it basically means Rick has a birthday 😂
