I've been dealing with chronic bloating for years now. I’ll admit I’m also struggling with cysts at the moment, though that wasn't an issue back when the bloating first started—it was the exact same pattern.

I'm looking for recommendations on herbal teas that act as natural diuretics, as it feels like my body is constantly retaining fluid.

Or if anyone has any other advice for managing something similar, I'm all ears.

Has anyone here actually tried anything that works?

All those teas are just gonna make you pee more. 😉 You really ought to ask your doctor for something specific instead of guessing.

I don't want to freak you out or anything, but bloating could be a sign of a ton of different things. So, I guess it’d be best to talk to your doctor first.
As for herbs that act as diuretics—parsley, nettle, and birch leaf are the big ones. It's pretty basic: heat up about half a cup of water, pour it over two small teaspoons of the herb, let it sit covered for a few minutes, and then drink it without sugar.
But seriously, go see a doctor first.

Yeah, look, if you’re actually going to go through with drinking those teas, just know you’ve gotta stay on top of your hydration. I mean, maybe drink about a cup or two, two or three times a day, for maybe ten days? Nothing more than that. And honestly, eat some bananas or something so you don't lose all your potassium from the flushing. But... seriously, check with your doctor first.
Take care.

And make sure you're sipping it slowly rather than just chugging a big glass all at once. If it's just bloating that's bothering you, there might be something else entirely going on.

Look, they’ve already given you the standard advice—listen to your doctor first and foremost... But honestly? Water is kind of a paradox because it actually helps flush out all that extra retained fluid. Plus, there are plenty of other reasons why hitting that 2L daily mark is a game changer, so... if you're really dead set on sticking to teas, maybe try some dandelion or elm bark, or even rosemary... You can find just about any herbal blend at a local CVS or a specialty health shop, so just head in and ask the folks behind the counter for recommendations...

To flush out water weight, skip the simple carbs—stick to complex ones paired with protein, maybe a 50/50 split. Eat small meals frequently throughout a full 😉 month. And try not to let those toxic emotions get the better of you 👍

Honestly, what you're describing doesn't sound like typical water retention to me. I’m talking about those situations where you literally can't pull a ring off your finger or your face looks puffy. That bloating you're feeling? Seems like something else entirely 🤷

Nettle tea works wonders as a diuretic.
But honestly, I have a feeling that isn't quite what you're dealing with.

I usually stick to dandelion tea when I need to flush out some extra water, but bloating and water retention are two totally different beasts.
For me, water retention shows up as my fingers getting a little puffy...

Tea isn't really going to do much for bloating—but honestly, peppermint or chamomile tea works wonders for digestion in general.
