The very same one Ale talks about in a fancy style.

Wait, the one that's banned?
Is it actually against the rules to use banned ammo?

Nothing is off-limits. This guy clearly hasn't a clue what he's talking about.

You're tripping. You honestly think a March Williams is anything special—or that Benetton was illegal? And claiming Verstappen is even in the same league as Schumacher? Please.
That’s all you're getting out of me on that topic.
#127 ·
That’s not even Williams material for a kid. And it’s definitely not F1 level.
If you really think so, let me set you straight right now.

Ale, buddy, you really ought to go get checked out by a doctor first. Then we can start looking for some kind of remedy that might actually work, but I can't do much without at least a rough diagnosis.
I'm a bit worried about us trying to cook up some hemp-based solution for you; I'd hate to see you end up like the guy that certain rally games were modeled after.

You guys seriously don't get it—he's basically spinning this yarn about how Porsche had to absolutely demolish the IndyCar scene back in the eighties,
that they actually needed to cook up some new regulations fast just to stop anyone from coming along and doing exactly what they did.
Once the folks at Porsche realized what kind of shady characters they were dealing with, it was basically a definitive "goodbye" to IndyCar.
They ended up recycling part of the project—basically just tweaking the engine a bit—and sold it off to McLaren. And man, talk about a winning combination!

What kind of story are you trying to sell us, Ale? Seriously, man. You just posted a picture of a MARCH car from a CART race with a Porsche engine—you're such a damn March fanatic. You literally just dropped a photo and didn't actually tell any kind of story.

Are you actually kidding me right now????
This is an '89 style car
What kind of engine are you talking about? Like, did Porsche really sell anything to McLaren after '89?
Hey! Ale!?

The guy in the left frame is busy messing around with a mouse while you lot are over here debating IndyCar. I honestly can't believe it.
Now that he's petting it—whether he's stroking it or just being handsy, I can't quite tell.

Hey! Ale!?
Yeah, McLaren was running HONDA engines back then. I'm pretty sure turbos were phased out in '89, and Senna and Prost were absolutely tearing it up in the McLaren using that Honda power... from 1983 to 1988 they were using TAG Porsche engines, before that it was FORD Cosworth, and back in the 70s they had a little Alfa Romeo engine, plus BRM in '67/'68. Then from 1988 to 1993, it was HONDA. In '93, Senna switched to Ford Cosworth, and when he moved to Williams in '94, McLaren was using a PEUGEOT engine. From 1995 to 2015, McLaren used MERCEDES' engines, until HONDA stepped back in in 2015, which eventually got swapped for RENAULT in 2017—which is what's still in the car today.☕

They didn't have the TAG Porsche in '88, they had the Honda.
And why even bring up stuff that has nothing to do with the topic?
I was just telling Ale there's zero chance Porsche sold any engine to McLaren after 1989—meaning after the year that green MARCH Porsche IndyCar!!! was photographed.
So, you basically answered one stupid claim with another. Completely unprovoked.

I said they used TAG Porsche engines from 1983 through 1988. Then Honda took over. I remember Niki Lauda in the McLaren with the TAG Porsche engine pretty clearly... after 1989, Porsche was out of the picture. And the guy in orange isn't writing anything or doing anything—you can tell by his hands hanging down. Maybe he was practicing before because I see some rag or paper on the floor, and a blue rag in his right hand. You can see a wooden handle behind the concrete, probably from a rake... the guy was fixing something there and just tossed his trash aside. The March Porsche is a total gem and I don't know what your problem is with it, or with me. Why are you getting so worked up? 😁

Man, just let him be. He's clearly just desperate for attention—sticks his nose in everywhere.
It’s a shame we don't have Neighbor around anymore. This is definitely a step backward.
