You've already ruined far too many movies for me. I wasn't looking for a detailed breakdown of the plot; I just wanted to know if it was worth my time...

...look, all those requests are already covered in the movie info thread—which, let's be honest, nobody actually reads 🙂. We try our best to tag spoilers whenever we spot them, but we aren't omniscient, so we don't catch everything 🙂. That said, maybe show a little flexibility? If we're in a thread dedicated to a specific movie, the people there have likely seen it and want to talk about it. Spoilers are pretty much inevitable at that point—you can't really have a conversation without being a little "unsterile" 🙂

...but hey, I'm all for the effort Let's keep the spoilers under control 🎉 we're all just trying to learn how to be decent to one another 😍

Honestly, anyone who decides to show spoiler should just be banned for life and sent straight to the middle of nowhere.

I won’t even click on a thread about a movie I’m actually interested in if there’s a hint of a spoiler 😁. If I did, I’d just be met with comments like, "That movie was incredible..." (which makes me think, okay, maybe I should check it out), or "It was so gripping and meaningful..." (so now I’m thinking, great, I love those kinds of stories—better call my friends and set up a theater trip)... but then comes the kicker: "...but I can't believe the protagonist dies after being betrayed by his best friend!" 😲 (At that point, I’m ready to throw my phone against the wall. It’s infuriating. That one tiny fragment of a sentence effectively kills any desire to watch the film for at least two years—or until I manage to forget it exists. Please, just write SPOILER ALERT!!! before you drop a reveal or change the font color. You’re killing the magic for everyone else who hasn't seen 😉 yet

Honestly, I don't really care if people show spoilers... it just depends on what kind of movie we're talking about. It's not like I'm going to lose my mind if someone ruins a plot point for me. Actually, sometimes I almost wish someone would just get it over with... The Mirror... Whether it’s an Andrei Tarkovsky masterpiece or just some random flick where the plot isn't even the main draw, things get messy when people start leaking spoilers for crime dramas or thrillers. Especially those twist endings... that's the worst. Honestly, the saddest part is how nobody realizes how much it sucks until it happens to them personally. Just do everyone a favor: call it ahead of time and don't spoil stuff just because you can... it's better for everyone...

Hey, hope we're done with the spoilers from now on...

Someone needs to ask the admin to install a spoiler tag mod
It’d be great if everyone could just say whatever they want... then hide the heavy stuff inside those tags... that way, if someone actually wants to read it, they can just hit the "show spoiler" button in the post...

I think you're missing my point. If you aren't interested in learning anything about a movie you're planning to see when it hits theaters, then just don't open the thread.

Why would you bother looking up details on a movie you haven't seen yet but plan to? And more importantly, why seek out other people's takes when everyone on these boards just ends up tearing each other apart anyway?

redowl90, isn't it true that everyone just loves to hate everything? honestly, sometimes I'd actually like to read about a movie that makes me want to go see it. I bet I'd learn way more from one solid discussion thread about a film—if we even have any left on this forum—than I ever would from a trailer. I'm not interested in those "it sucks" or "it's a masterpiece" takes... I'd rather understand the film as a piece of work, regardless of the plot.

besides, it's not just about spoilers in specific movie threads. people are out here spoiling stuff in general threads too, like "last movie I saw" and all that nonsense.

all-time iconic scenes

I suppose I can respect the idea that some people prefer to go into a movie without knowing exactly where the plot is headed. However, there are certain films where it feels almost impossible to have a meaningful discussion about them without diving into the actual story—something like *No Country for Old Men*, for instance.

Why cut anything? Just slap a " Saw SPOILER" tag on it and talk about the ending or whatever. Seems like a non-issue if we do that...
