I'd personally go for a fourth installment that leans harder into the adventure side—more violence and those gritty adventure-horror vibes, kind of like what Nathan Myers28 is getting at...

Honestly, just skip it. Just like you'd ignore Terminator 3 or The Matrix Revolutions...

Terminator 3 is actually a masterpiece. ☕
It's packed with spectacular action, eye-popping special effects, and Arnold Schwarzenegger fighting his own identity.

A masterpiece. 🙏

Keith Kelly3 said:Hey, I just recently fell down the rabbit hole after rewatching the first one. Does anyone actually know if or when a fourth installment is coming out? I saw some rumor floating around saying it might drop in 2008(?!)—which sounds totally bogus to me, especially since Spielberg is busy filming Indiana Jones...

The fourth one is happening—timing is just a question mark. I've heard two different script rumors. Remember that fat guy in the sandwich shop from the first movie who steals a bunch of dinosaur embryos, only to have them eaten by a tiny dinosaur later? The box was buried in the mud. Well, word is someone finds that box and uses those embryos to create human-dinosaur hybrids to work as high-priced mercenaries. (Honestly, that sounds more like Alien Resurrection)

The other theory is that the dinosaurs somehow dug their way out of the ground in South America (ask God how) and are now breeding and threatening humanity. Consequently, the government decides to wipe them out using some prehistoric disease.

It isn't all about the visual effects—seriously. You need to watch all three films on a real home theater setup (not those cheap $50 plastic junk sets from Best Buy)!!! It’s a completely different experience. The first film has the "worst" effects—mostly analog stuff—but man, that sound design is top-tier. Class A1🙏 When the Tyrannosaurus Rex or those Raptors are stomping around, the whole room shakes! 🙏
The entire trilogy features world-class sound engineering!

God forbid! Some person (who lies constantly, by the way) told me that in the fourth installment, the dinosaurs are going to attack New York—they figured this because of those flying dinosaurs (Pterodactyls?) chasing them at the end of the third movie. I really hope this is just another lie!

That actually makes sense! If I recall correctly from the book, the dinosaurs hitched a ride on a supply ship while the park was still running. They made it back to the mainland, where those little green Procompsognathus guys ended up killing a child and injuring a bunch of others—and who knows, maybe even the Raptors managed to sneak ashore too.

But let's be real—they aren't making the fourth movie based on the book, mostly because (as far as I'm aware) there isn't even a fourth novel.

If this actually turns out to be the plot for Jurassic Park 4, I’m ready to call it a masterpiece right now.

Well, even the third installment wasn't strictly following the book word-for-word, though about half of it was pulled straight from the pages—you know, those specific scenes by the river or in the aviary...—so I suspect the fourth one will follow that same pattern since they probably won't have much else to work with.

daaaa—just imagine a jacked-up Tyrannosaurus Rex in a military uniform, puffing on a Cuban cigar while clutching an AK-47 in one hand and counting his loot with the other.😂 🤣

And how many books are there actually? Just two, or what...?

Yeah, it’s such a shame—honestly, because those books are absolutely fantastic! Especially that opening in the first one... it’s much more visceral and intense than the movies. For instance, you know that scene where the little dinosaur kills the guy? Well, in the book, that creature—which was actually about 20 feet long and 10 feet tall—takes him out in a way that is just brutal. It knocks him down, rips him open—I'm talking full-on guts everywhere—and then grabs him by the head and lifts him up. The way it's described is truly one-of-a-kind. Seriously, if you haven't picked up the books yet, you absolutely need to do so immediately!

Yeah, it really bugs me when they tone down the violence just so kids can watch it... if they do that, they should at least put the uncut version on the DVD...

The first two films are pretty intense—lots of gore—but Terminator 3 is a whole different story; you barely see any blood spray even once during the entire movie.

The second part - pretty good third
The third installment—a total masterpiece of trash cinema.

I have the complete trilogy at home. It looks fantastic, and there's a fourth bonus disc packed with a ton of interesting extras.

I've got a question for anyone who knows: what's the better move—buying each of the three movies in its own individual set, or grabbing this specific edition you got (the three films plus that fourth disc with the extras)? Also, do those extras actually have American subtitles? I know the standard release doesn't...

So, is the movie only good if it's gory? Jurassic Park was never meant to be a slasher, and it isn't. None of the films are. The whole point of these movies isn't how much blood you can splash on the screen.

Either way, grabbing the collection is the move. It looks much cleaner and takes up way less shelf space. 😁

As for the lack of subtitles on the extras... well, that's just how the cookie crumbles. Doesn't bother me one bit.
