I rarely watch movies just to kill time or turn my brain off. That’s just not my style. I actually prefer when a movie makes me work for it a little—makes my brain stretch so I can walk away with some kind of lesson or wisdom to use in my own life. Mostly, I watch them for the emotional ride. Whether I've lived through something similar and want to feel it more deeply, or if it's my first time encountering a topic, the impact feels the same. Of course, there are those movies where you can't really pull a "lesson" out of them, but I still watch them because they're just pure fun. Sometimes you just watch for the sheer pleasure of it, right? 😁
