I've been dealing with this annoying issue where any kind of sweating—even just a little bit from light activity—triggers redness on my forehead. It shows up as these irregular patches that sting slightly sometimes (they aren't swollen, and it’s definitely not a rash), and it usually clears up after about 20 or 30 minutes. When I'm training consistently, the redness isn't as bad, but it's still incredibly uncomfortable...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So, look, I’ve got this incredibly red face going on, and then there are these little white spots all over my arms that honestly look like tiny little polka dots... I actually went to see my doctor about it, but he just brushed me off and sent me straight home, basically telling me it’ll all clear up once I get through puberty. Like, seriously? Is there really no solution, at least for my face?? This constant redness is driving me absolutely insane, it's beyond frustrating... 😢

One of the whole reasons we move threads around is so people actually take a second to read what’s already been said. We get way too many people asking the exact same questions and giving the same old advice over and over... so just deal with it at the end 🙂

Hey there! =)

So, about six weeks ago, I had a little mishap and ended up with this pretty large (but shallow) scrape on the left side of my face. The scab actually fell off perfectly fine after about five days, and the skin looked totally normal at first. But now, almost a month and a half later, the area where the wound was is getting redder by the day, and honestly, it’s starting to look pretty gnarly...

Should I go see a doctor? I'm really stumped because everything seemed completely fine for the first month...

Also, does anyone know if there's a way to get my skin tone back to normal?

Thanks! Best,

Do you actually bother with sunscreen on your face? Like, at least SPF 35, though honestly, 50 is way better... and I mean applying it multiple times a day, even if it’s cloudy out... because this new skin is definitely darker and way more sensitive than the rest of me

About six months ago, this redness started creeping onto my face—it looks like broken capillaries, if you ask me. Has anyone dealt with this before? It isn't budging; in fact, it’s getting worse, spreading across almost my entire face and cheeks. I've consulted dermatologists, but they can't seem to pin down what it actually is, and none of the creams I've tried have made a dent.

Is there a specific, recommended way to get rid of this? Or is anyone else out there facing the exact same issue?

My cheeks have been bright red for four hours now—honestly, I look like I swallowed a bottle of hot sauce. Why is this happening? I just ate two breakfast burritos and suddenly my face is flushing like crazy. If anyone else deals with this, please let me know what you know!

Could just be high blood pressure?

Hey everyone!
Here's another bright red 😉 !

So, I'm 28 years old, and honestly, for as long as I can remember, my face has always had this redness. It’s usually just a mild flush, but it flares up instantly whenever there's a sudden temperature change, if I'm exercising, when things get awkward, or even just when it gets hot outside.
Back when I was a kid, I saw a bunch of different doctors about it, and the last time I actually dealt with it—maybe ten years ago—I went to see a dermatologist (I think it was over at the Mayo Clinic) who looked at me like I had just landed from another planet 😁. Even they couldn't really figure out how to help; all they did was prescribe some facial cream that I used for a while, but it didn't really do much. So, I eventually just accepted it and lived with it until now.
On top of that, I used to struggle with my weight too, weighing in at 125 kg 😁, and I’d been smoking since I was fifteen, which probably made the redness even worse due to my blood pressure.
Over time, I managed to "slim down" quite a bit and I'm down to 95 kg now, plus I quit smoking two years ago.
Since then, the constant flushing has subsided a lot, though there are still those moments where I suddenly "glow" and turn into Marvel 😁.
Basically, as long as I'm not stressed or doing heavy physical activity, I look like any other regular guy, and—not to brag, mind you 😁—but people tell me I'm actually pretty good-looking.

The thing is, as most people here probably know, living like this isn't easy. People are constantly questioning you, asking stuff like, "Are you okay? What's going on with your face? Why are you so red? Look at this guy, he looks drunk!" 😁 and so on. Over the years, that’s left its own kind of "internal scars," like bouts of low self-esteem and feeling like you're worth less than others... But hey 🙂, I'm still here and breathing 🙂, and thank God I don't have any other health issues besides this one 🙂.

Now, I wanted to ask you guys something...
In the last month or so, the whole thing has started bothering me again, so I began Googling things online to see if there's anything new regarding this topic...
I stumbled upon the Mayo Clinic and their LASER REMOVAL FOR FACIAL REDNESS AND CAPILLARIES .
I went ahead and booked a consultation for the afternoon of March 17th, 2016.
I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with these types of treatments? Did their condition actually improve or get cleared up entirely? If anyone knows anything about this, I would truly appreciate any details you could share!
Thanks in advance!
