The Bourne Ultimatum

I actually thought the movie was fantastic. I ended up doing a bit of a marathon the other day, sitting through all three films back-to-back, and looking back, there’s no denying that the first one stands head and shoulders above the rest. In my humble opinion, it was leagues better than something like Bond. 🙂

The movie was great. A little too short for my taste, though. I’m a fan of this genre, so I can handle some shaky cam, and the action was top-tier. The highlight has to be the scene in Tangier. The atmosphere there was incredible—it actually made me want to visit. Between the heavy rain, the relentless pursuit through the city, and him having to protect Nicole along the way, it was intense. It totally outshines Spider-Man and Batman. (And please, don't even get me started on Superman. Choosing between him and Bourne would be like choosing which eye I need more🙂))

Great movie. Honestly, the first two felt like a bit of a slog, but this one? Right up my alley.

I honestly think all three installments are absolutely fantastic! Everything was executed perfectly, and I truly can't find a single thing to complain about. Sure, the camera gets a little shaky during those intense fight scenes, but honestly, you have to embrace that—it makes the action feel much more visceral, and if you ask me, it’s a hell of a lot better than those dull fights filmed with static cameras that make everything look lifeless.

Next time, you should definitely try grabbing a seat somewhere in the middle of the theater, or maybe even a few rows back. Man, sitting right there in the fifth row just ruins the whole experience because that massive screen ends up being way too close to your face. That’s my best piece of advice for your next movie night...

Pure fantasy—just finished watching 🙏

I haven't seen action this tight in ages. Honestly, this was the perfect palate cleanser after being completely let down by Die Hard 4.

Everyone’s complaining about the camera work—probably just because it was hard to track on a massive theater screen—but on Blu-ray? It’s a whole different story. The cinematography is top-tier.

Overall, the film is dark, gritty, and shrouded in mystery—exactly what a "new Bond" should be. Instead, we ended up with Craig playing dress-up in a swimsuit.

I actually appreciated that several plot points were left unresolved. I just hope they don't ruin the momentum by forcing some unnecessary sequels or, God forbid, a prequel.

For those of you who have read the books—are they actually any good?

I missed one thing—maybe because the pacing was so fast:
where exactly does the word "ultimatum" come from in the title?

I personally found all three parts to be fantastic—though I have to say, part 1 was my absolute favorite!
