Looks like absolutely nothing has changed at the local hospital in St. Louis for thirteen years straight... I try calling the number they give me, which is apparently only open from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, and the nurse just shuffles me off to another line... that nobody ever picks up.
It’s pretty obvious there's a massive breakdown in organizational culture and HR over there. If being a nurse is such an exhausting, soul-crushing job that the trauma gets passed down through generations until everyone ends up totally dysfunctional—then why even have a nurse at the front desk or on the phone? Honestly, anyone from a basic call center could handle the basics—pick up the receiver—and it would save us all a hell of a lot of money in our tax dollars.
