I’m reaching out because my grandfather was rushed to the hospital last night. It all started with intense stomach pains, diarrhea, and a fever, and he does have a history of a heart attack...
He’s currently in a coma. The doctors are saying he's dealing with pneumonia, a stroke, and sepsis. He's 76 years old and on life support right now.
If anyone here has experience with this or could tell me what the outlook looks like for someone his age...
That’s really all I know, unfortunately. The medical staff hasn't been giving us much information...
Thank you so much in advance.🙏

That sounds incredibly grim, but you have to hold onto hope. Speaking from my own experience, I truly believe that when doctors throw in the towel, God just points a finger and brings them back to health😳.
Stay strong and keep the faith😘

To be honest, even if we don't know his exact condition right now, based on what she said, the chances are slim... Does anyone know the cause of the sepsis? How severe is the stroke? I'm assuming it's ischemic, but did the doctor mention any brain bleeding? Is he on a ventilator?
it really comes down to the skill of the ICU specialist treating him, but even they aren't Almighty, so... if you wouldn't mind trying to dig up some info and letting me know... good luck...

It's official: sepsis has been confirmed, and they're unconscious, but there's no brain bleeding...
thanks

Have they isolated the pathogen yet? Which system is being primarily affected?

Thanks, you're the best, but we're totally drifting off-topic here...
He passed away...
His kidneys failed first, then his heart gave out...
Thanks again for all the effort you put in...

Thanks

The cause was bilateral pneumonia, but thankfully there was no sepsis or stroke involved...
thanks
