Basically, ever since I started taking iron, vitamins, Lactogyn, folic acid, and using tea tree vaginal suppositories + applying Canesten externally morning and night + wearing loose, comfy clothes + sticking to a balanced diet high in iron and vitamins (mostly just greens) 🤣 , things have changed
.
🙂 I think the main culprits for me were a weak immune system, long courses of antibiotics, stress, junk food... sweets... but I feel like I'm finally on the right track to beating this... hopefully for good

I struggled with this for a pretty long time too. It wasn't life-threatening, but it was definitely irritating. Honestly, once you close the loop and get everything in balance, the problems should stop. While I was being careless, those little pests were just waiting for their chance. They still lurk today. Whenever I'm on an antibiotic, I know they're coming, so I prepare myself. Luckily, I haven't taken antibiotics in two years, so there isn't as much of a problem. I constantly nag my doctor about it because I don't believe him when he says it's rare; he claims only about one in ten women shows up to his clinic with normal discharge. But honestly, candidiasis (due to our lifestyle) has become as common as cellulite among women. 😬
If it stays minor, it’s mostly harmless, but it gets dangerous if it spreads deeper or if it persists heavily for a long time.

Sorry if I sound blunt. I'm always posting in these threads, so I've become a bit of a regular. After doing this a hundred times, you kind of start talking like a drill sergeant. 🙂

Once you get past it, prevention is everything. Eating plenty of yogurt and using a probiotic tampon once a week overnight works wonders. And if your immune system is weak, focus on vitamins, getting enough sleep, minimizing stress, and keeping a relatively decent diet (since nobody can eat 100% healthy all the time). 🙂

Does anyone actually know how long or how often I should be using Canesten? Like, can you overdo it if you apply it too much or for way too many days in a row? Also, is there a risk of building up some kind of resistance to it?

Look, you really need to keep applying it for at least 10 days *after* the itching actually stops. And for heaven's sake, don't go overboard with the amount—I once went way too heavy on the cream and my skin started peeling off like crazy. It was honestly a total disaster. 😲

As for whether you can build up a resistance to it, I honestly have no clue.

If you don't use it correctly, you could end up building up a resistance..
It’s probably best to stick to a three-week course..
The more you overdo it, the more questionable it gets because of that resistance issue..
Also, if you aren't using the vaginal suppositories—at least during that first week—the cream probably won't do much. Since the infection is actually inside the vaginal canal, those suppositories are really the primary treatment. The cream is mostly just meant to soothe the irritation on the external labia.🙂

I'm totally with you there—the guy basically revolutionized natural medicine by actually basing it on real science for once.

I was wondering if anyone here has tried ordering those vaginal suppositories from Cedrus for Candida? What’s the consensus on them? Also, any idea what they go for?

Could someone explain how the treatment using a tampon and acidophilus actually works? I'm curious about the specific process—when should I do it, and how long does it usually last?🍿
