By the way, I’ve always had a soft spot for Spanish actors, though I honestly couldn't tell you a single one of their names if my life depended on it.

lonemarlin40 said:So, since the OP and I already agreed the first poll was kind of a bust—mostly because everyone could only pick one guy and one girl, which totally watered down the results, plus nobody actually votes on polls anyway—let's give this another shot.

This time around, you can list up to 4 best actors and 4 best actresses.

The idea is that we'll actually rack up enough points for some heavy hitters who got overlooked last time.

We're gonna stick to the rule where guys are written in blue and ladies in red.

I'll drop my list of guys soon too, just drawing a blank right now.

To kick things off:

Jean Reno
Gary Oldman
Morgan Freeman

(still chewing on who gets that 4th spot)

Audrey Hepburn
Ashley Judd

still thinking about the rest of the actresses....

Adding a few more I missed:
Michael Caine , just because he makes acting look so damn effortless,

but man, the women have been tough to pick. I tried thinking of anyone else who could actually carry an entire movie on her own shoulders, and honestly? Not easy. So, I'll throw my vote toward
Jodie Foster , even though she's not exactly my favorite, she can absolutely carry a whole film if she needs to.

And
Sandra Bullock , purely because watching her movies feels easy and breezy. She doesn't get on my nerves.

There are plenty of great actresses out there, but it's rare to find one where I'd sit through a whole flick just for them.

Should we go ahead and back up our choices with film clips from YouTube? 🙂 It would allow everyone else to see exactly why those specific actors caught our attention...

People are going to get totally burned out on voting if we keep having elections back-to-back like this. Eventually, everyone is just going to get sick of it and stay home on election day.

I’m watching the final segment of "Dog Day Afternoon" with Pacina right now... It is truly staggering how much she can convey through nothing more than a facial expression or a gaze—an expression that radiates pure fear, despair, and total helplessness. She communicates far more than any dialogue ever could.
A true powerhouse of an actress...

Jack Nicholson is your top pick? Give me a break, please. It’s not that I’m saying he’s bad—far from it—but honestly, people, you are seriously living in the past... Christian Bale is the undisputed number one right now.
He’s got zero competition.... number 👍

🙄 Sure, he's the best of the younger crowd, but Nicholson is still an absolute icon🙏

I honestly can't wrap my head around why Samuel L. Jackson didn't make the cut, because I feel like he's one of those rare actors who can absolutely nail any role he takes on, no matter what kind of genre it is.
