Watching Hannibal without Anthony Hopkins feels a bit off to me... I might give it a shot, but he's really the heart of it for me.

If you’re going to go around critiquing and trashing entire franchises, the least you could do is actually name the films you're talking about.
So, here is my personal breakdown of the series:
The Silence of the Lambs is an absolute masterpiece; easily one of the greatest ever made. It holds its own in the top 30 on IMDb, and frankly, the cast delivered performances that couldn't have been any better if they'd tried.
Overall, I'd give it a 9/10.
Hannibal's is a bit weaker than its predecessor, but it still stands up quite well within the horror-thriller genre. They swapped out the lead actress, which was a significant disappointment for me personally, but the film itself remains excellent. 7/10.
Red Dragon is my personal favorite. It might not be the "best" objectively, but it's my favorite of the sequels—likely due to Edward Norton's performance and the fascinating way the narrative unfolds. Anthony Hopkins is once again nothing short of genius, and I found the screenplay surprisingly refreshing. A stellar film; 8.5/10.
As for Hannibal Rising, I believe I've already shared my thoughts on that one. My rating: 7/10.

I’m obsessed with this series.

They honestly could have cast someone better, and they should’ve cut that Asian actress—she just didn't fit the vibe.
That part where he stabs that guy with the fork? Absolute perfection...

I agree with this part... it felt a little forced. But overall, it isn't a bad movie, though I don't quite get why they had to kill off that girl when there were already plenty of people dead around the house...🤷

Watched it this summer. It was okay, I guess, but nothing special. Seriously, nothing to write home about. I didn't realize it was based on an original title since I hadn't seen it back home.

It is an excellent piece of cinema; if you have seen his previous work, his motivations become entirely transparent, because how could he be any other way after they slaughtered his sister—and let's not forget he actually resorted to consuming her just to survive when there was nothing else left to eat... I should probably mention that Lady Murasaki is absolutely stunning, though it is worth noting the actress playing the Japanese woman is actually the Chinese star Gong Li...
They managed to take cover before the deep freeze set in, which explains why the bloating occurs; the decomposition process had already started before the frost hit, much like how that squirrel was already infested with worms when that little man brought it in. If winter had arrived just a few days earlier, they might have ended up with a stew made from that American tank commander—the one who downed the fighter jet while the rest of the squadron escaped—and Hannibal's parents, but then I suppose the movie wouldn't make any sense at all...
I find myself in agreement with this point... certain parts feel a bit forced. But taking everything into account, it isn't a bad film, even if I can't quite wrap my head around why they felt the need to kill off the little girl when there were plenty of bodies lying around the house...

I finally sat down and watched that movie a few weeks back.
I won't even pretend to disagree if anyone thinks it’s bad—it definitely isn't. Personally, I found the whole thing quite engaging and well-paced, though I have to admit, there’s just a certain something missing without Anthony Hopkins 😢 leading the charge. That said, Timothée Chalamet was absolutely stellar in his role. There was this one specific moment, that look in his eyes right before he prepares to deal with his next victim, that really stuck with me 😁

The Silence of the Lambs is quite simply the greatest film ever made in my estimation.
Hannibal is equally excellent as a follow-up. I cannot fathom why there is such opposition to it; I found it to be superb. My only grievance was that J. Foster did not return to the role, as they opted for a replacement instead.
I have just acquired this latest installment, so I shall watch it and provide my assessment shortly.

The title of this movie, "Scarface," is absolutely chilling. From a viewer's perspective, it’s actually pretty solid, especially how they depict a cold-blooded Hannibal coming to terms with his past following World War II. It starts with some terrifying stuff where thugs break into his house—his parents tragically lose their lives during an encounter with some soldiers during a sweep. But getting back to those thugs... they weren't there for three days straight, right? It seems like some of the soldiers went out hunting, but once hunger set in, things turned gruesome and they ended up killing his sister. OMG. On a psychological level, the movie is just devastating. I'm curious, have you guys seen it yet? Let me know what you thought about it!

It wasn't just random soldiers, either; they were local traitors, war profiteers, and scavengers... The movie truly turns stomach-turning toward the end when we realize that even Hannibal participated in eating his own sister along with those subhuman creatures...

Absolute garbage. This was the one Disney flick last year that actually made me hit pause after just 30 minutes. And believe me, I’ve sat through plenty of trash...
